IneedAnewScreenName-3271 Posted June 13, 2008 Posted June 13, 2008 I'm 59 years and have been searching for more years than I care to remember for THEE #1 rub. The search is over! I recently heard about "Butt Rub" on the Food Network and thought why not try one more. I tell ya folks, this stuff is "fantastic". I even put some on my eggs in the morning. Beef, Pork, and chicken. On wings? WOW it's better than anything I ever tried. I ordered the smallest amount 4oz just to try it and I know when this is gone I'll be ordering more. http://www.buttrub.com Let me know how ya like it if you give it a try...I love this stuff!! Quote
Super User roadwarrior Posted June 13, 2008 Super User Posted June 13, 2008 My brother-in-law manages these two restaurants in Kansas City. You might want to give their rubs and sauce a try, too! When the owner was competing, he ruled! The Squeal Hog Rub is my favorite: http://www.oklahomajoesbbq.com/ 8-) Quote
Siebert Outdoors Posted June 13, 2008 Posted June 13, 2008 RW, what to resturants? If I see it I'll try some. Quote
Super User roadwarrior Posted June 13, 2008 Super User Posted June 13, 2008 The link is to Oklahoma Joe's (there are two in K.C.). This is the rub: http://oklahomajoesbbq.com/oj/index.php?main_page=product_info&products_id=6 8-) Quote
Super User SPEEDBEAD. Posted June 13, 2008 Super User Posted June 13, 2008 RW, I see that it is good on poultry as well... In your opinion, would it taste good as the seasoning on a deep fried bird? Quote

I would apply the rub the night before or at least have it on the bird for a few hours to be absorbed by the skin. Otherwise, I'm afraid the rub would just cook off. 8-) Quote

cpvenom Posted June 13, 2008 Posted June 13, 2008 I had some butt rub BBQ peanuts on vacation last year and they were awesome! We bought them because of the name and were quite surprised to find that they tasted good too. Quote
IneedAnewScreenName-3271 Posted June 14, 2008 Author Posted June 14, 2008 All good fun guys. I just love a good BBQ and a great rub makes all the difference...along with the smoke, but that's another subject. I'm going to order some of the peanuts on my next order and give them a go too. Quote
