weknowhowtolive Posted June 11, 2008 Posted June 11, 2008 Has anyone ever bought a preseason ticket to an NFL game? Me and some friends are going to try and go to a game in August but the tickets dont go on sale until July and we have no idea what kind of costs to expect. Im sure it differs slightly team to team, but if anyone has ever gone to a preseason game and remembers what they paid for what kinda seat, lemme know! thanks. Quote
Super User Grey Wolf Posted June 11, 2008 Super User Posted June 11, 2008 My pre-season tickets were the same price as regular season tickets. 40.00 for nose-bleed seats. Sold all 4 PSL'S FOR A PROFIT AND WATCH IT ON T.V. NOW Quote

weknowhowtolive Posted June 11, 2008 Author Posted June 11, 2008 That sucks! The only reason I wanna go is because I'm a Packers fan and all my friends around here are 9ers fans and the Packers are finally coming to town, so we figured we'd go. Not sure I wanna spend 100 bucks for a good seat at a preseason game. Quote
rondef Posted June 11, 2008 Posted June 11, 2008 Preseason tickets are not worth the money, you do not get to see the starters play much at all and the teams really don't care if they win or loose. Save you money and go to a regular season game. Quote

Super User Sam Posted June 12, 2008 Super User Posted June 12, 2008 Went to a Washington Redskins preseason game last year and saw the starters for the first half and then it was the subs. Fun time being that close to the game and seeing the players on the bench but the guys are right, try to score some tickets to a real NFL game. Maybe the Packers will play the 49ers during the season. But if not and you want to see the Pack in person, then go. Do yourself a favor and attend the preseason game and have a fun time. You will not regret it. I saw Brett Farve four years ago against the Deadskins and he was super. I also saw Michael Vick play the Deadskins before he went to jail. It is really great when you can see the players and see what they do on the sidelines and how the coaches react and see the players avoid the coaches when on the sidelines. Or see the punter/kicker have no interest in the game and just sit there waiting to go in to kick the ball. You see a lot that you do not see on TV so take binoculars. And bring money as everything is expensive. Have a fun time at the game. Quote
Super User fishinfiend Posted June 12, 2008 Super User Posted June 12, 2008 I went to a Bengals v Falcons preseason game a few years back and I paid $35 for club level seats from a "non-sanctioned vendor" 30 minutes before the game. I am pretty sure that the stadiums charge the same for tickets regardless if it is a regular or preseason game. I can't wait untill football season starts eventhough the Falcons are more than likely going to suck, REAL BAD. As long as they beat the saints I will be happy. Quote
Super User South FLA Posted June 12, 2008 Super User Posted June 12, 2008 I have been a season ticket holder for the Dolphins since 1982 and have been paying for preseason tickets as part of "the package." Don't buy them if you don't have to, just show up to the game and get them at a DEEP discount before the game. Quote
weknowhowtolive Posted June 12, 2008 Author Posted June 12, 2008 thanks for the tips guys. I think we've decided not to go to the preseason game and just go to the 9ers vs the Pats Quote
