The_Natural Posted June 9, 2008 Posted June 9, 2008 When I lived in Oklahoma, I thought it was hot. Now I live in Fort Worth and while the digits don't read that much higher on the thermometer, living that much closer to the equator apparently haa an impact on how the sun sizzles your skin. It is just piercing. Oh it's hot too. Quote
Super User Hookemdown. Posted June 9, 2008 Super User Posted June 9, 2008 Welcome to the south. Quote

Super User Dan: Posted June 9, 2008 Super User Posted June 9, 2008 Here in Northern Virginia, it is supposed to be over 100 with heat index close to 110! Quote
Hookem Posted June 9, 2008 Posted June 9, 2008 Time for schoolies when the air temps are near 100 and so is the water temp. Ok, the lake is a cooling pond and the highest water temp I ever saw there was 105 in the outlet. But out on the main lake, it was a very cool 100. And acres of schoolies! 8-) Quote

BassResource.com Administrator Glenn Posted June 9, 2008 BassResource.com Administrator Posted June 9, 2008 51 and raining in my neck of the woods right now. Cold, damp, and windy... .... a-g-a-i-n. Coldest June 9th ever on record. It's miserable. Endless fronts hitting us back-to-back. The fish are all screwed up. Some of them managed to spawn, but I think the bulk of them will just absorb the eggs and try again next year. Average catch per day so far this year is less than 5 fish. :-/ Quote
Super User Sam Posted June 9, 2008 Super User Posted June 9, 2008 Richmond, Virginia is hitting new highs this week. Could clear 100. Fish are active and are moving around. Will hit the upper James River on Friday. Wear sunscreen and stay out of the sun's rays as best you can by coveing yourself or using a high rated UVA/UVB sunscreen. Quote
TournyFish001 Posted June 9, 2008 Posted June 9, 2008 It has been a very strange spring here in my region. Sure has made the fishing unpredicatable- even more so I should say. Quote
Super User burleytog Posted June 9, 2008 Author Super User Posted June 9, 2008 What time of the year were you here in Dallas? March, May, and July Quote
