Brian_Reeves Posted June 5, 2008 Posted June 5, 2008 This looks like a gimmick...smells like a gimmick...but I can hardly resist the temptation. The bait monkey has a cousin called the "YOU'RE PAYING TOO MUCH FOR GAS" Monkey and he's callin. Someone lemme know if this works or if this is the helicopter lure's automotive cousin please. http://www.runyourcarwithwater.com/#sale Quote

Super User FishTank Posted June 6, 2008 Super User Posted June 6, 2008 Don't hold me to all of this...... Back in 2000 I was working for a print shop that did several brochures for Ford and one them was a 64 pager that had complete details on how a British Ford engineer had made a water based fuel cell engine. The idea was to put two of these engines into a car. The engine was tested and used successfully according to the brochure. The engine was designed and made in the Ford engineer's home workshop. The day before the brochure was to go out, we were told to stop production and not to send. I was later sent an email from a coworker about an automotive engineer whose home and workshop had been destroyed by a bomb. He and his family all died in the explosion. After reading the brochure again, it was the same engineer whom we had printed the brochure for. A few days later I was sent another email from the same coworker with an article that stated that it was not a bomb but a gas explolsion that caused the destruction. Oddly enough, the first article had mentioned that the only explosive chemicals near the home were in his workshop and that the house was all electric. It always made me wonder if this guy was killed for his invention, even if it may or may not have worked. Quote
Brian_Reeves Posted June 6, 2008 Author Posted June 6, 2008 http://www.aardvark.co.nz/hho.shtml Well...looks like I'll just invest in a few cases of beer and continue to hate gas prices. That is a pretty convincing report Quote
Super User Micro Posted June 6, 2008 Super User Posted June 6, 2008 Beer is always a good investment. It's a miracle product. It makes you smarter when you drink in quantity, and it makes ugly women pretty. Quote

However, may I recommend buying a brew kit from northernbrewer and brewing your own? It tastes MUCH better!!! Quote
Brian_Reeves Posted June 6, 2008 Author Posted June 6, 2008 You should try a heinikin (forgive the spelling, but you know what i mean lol) while you're actually in holland or germany. Now THAT'S beer. T-Rig can probably testify to that. I had a layover there and it was the best beer I had ever drank. As far as the water/gas car goes...oh well. Thank god my new job pays for gas. It's a shame I'm not allowed to say what it is ;D Quote

I think we could be friends. From what I hear Heineken would be too dark of a beer for me, but that's just what I hear. Quote
Brian_Reeves Posted June 6, 2008 Author Posted June 6, 2008 THat's what I thought too, until I had it on their side of the ocean. It's SO much better there. Just plain out amazing. And that's not even the best european beer out there. Quote
BadKarma42 Posted June 6, 2008 Posted June 6, 2008 I caught a brief segment on CNN the other morning. Apparently some guy (religous church guy) had made this work. He plans to donate any monetary gain to the church. Quote

Aside from the appearance the color of a beer has no bearing on its taste. Guiness is dark but smooth while a Belgian triple is light but very strong. Oh and beer in Europe is serious business Bud Light and that swill does not hold a candle to the beers of Europe. Quote

In order to change H20 to HHO (Brown's gas) electricity must be generated and passed through the water. Because it is a physical impossibility to get more energy out of a reaction than was put into it converting your car to a water car will actually cause it to use MORE energy and not less. These stories have been around for YEARS and if they would have worked someone would have patented it and we'd all be buying the conversion kits from Wal-Mart for $199.99. Quote
BadKarma42 Posted June 6, 2008 Posted June 6, 2008 But it was on TV..... This guy had two mason jars that he was pouring stuff into. One was a clear substance, the other was not so clear. I was on my way to work and didn't pay a lot of attention to the magic behind the potion. Quote
Super User Wayne P. Posted June 6, 2008 Super User Posted June 6, 2008 It was on TV, huh? I saw a spaceship going faster than the speed of light on TV. There was a guy with a bumpy wrinkled up forehead and another with pointy ears too. The pointy eared guy said "live long and prosper". Quote
BadKarma42 Posted June 6, 2008 Posted June 6, 2008 Sweet! That's good to know. Now if they can just find water on Mars. Quote

The $12.00 cases at local gas stations usually get the job done for me. The one time I had it, it tasted like molasses. That's just something I don't quite enjoy. Quote

Heinekin has a long way to travel to get here and if it sits for much longer it's not going to be good. If you have fresh stuff it is very good. If you have old stuff it is not. I LOVE beer. I make my own and try everything I can. Trust me, color is meaningless. Now if you're just drinking to get drunk then just buy a case of bud light and drink it ice cold, but if you want to drink for taste then try some better beers. You like in NC, so I would recommend some east coast brews like Yuengling or Dog Fish Head beers or something like that. Quote
daviscw Posted June 7, 2008 Posted June 7, 2008 I've had Yuengling, and it wasn't bad at all. Thanks for the info, you learn something new every day! Quote
