Branuss04 Posted May 15, 2008 Posted May 15, 2008 for those of you who like to sip a brooskie... what do you guys like. I'm getting tired of the coors, bud, corona. I work at a supermarket that has a TON of beers. So i've been trying to try new stuff. Just found a couple new ones I love. Fat Tire Eye of the Hawk Alaskan Summer Ale. Any other beers you guys LOVE!!!! Quote
Pond Hopper Posted May 15, 2008 Posted May 15, 2008 Fat tire and Boulevard Wheat. Have a few local micro brews that are good too but I can find one of those at most bars. Quote
Popeye Posted May 15, 2008 Posted May 15, 2008 I love Tooheys (Australian) but I can't find it around anymore. Guniess Extra Stout is pretty good as is Harp (made by Guiness). New Castle Brown Ale is a smooth brewski too. There are just so many great beers to choose from that it is hard to pick one favorite. That's why I drink 'em ALL:o) Quote
Super User burleytog Posted May 15, 2008 Super User Posted May 15, 2008 d**n I miss a good cool bottle of Newcastle. Red Hook IPA, Shiner Hefeweizen and Shiner Bock were all favorites at one time. Red Hook ESB was quite good as well. Quote
Super User Redlinerobert Posted May 15, 2008 Super User Posted May 15, 2008 Amstel Light, Coors Light, Tecate, Pacifico, and Modelo. Quote
Bassnbrett101 Posted May 15, 2008 Posted May 15, 2008 Keep going guys... I'm takin notes for next semester ;D Quote
Jake P Posted May 15, 2008 Posted May 15, 2008 My brother and 2 of his buddies decided to try every beer sold at sams club( grocery store). They ended up trying 20 something different kinds and out of all of them they said Fat Tire was the nastiest thing they had ever drank. Quote
Super User Gone_Phishin Posted May 15, 2008 Super User Posted May 15, 2008 Samuel Smith's Oatmeal Stout. I also love a good IPA. Quote
Super User fourbizz Posted May 15, 2008 Super User Posted May 15, 2008 Alaskan Amber Corona Extra i'll say it, M G D !!! Quote
Olebiker Posted May 15, 2008 Posted May 15, 2008 I also love a good IPA. I have never acquired a taste for IPAs. To me, any beer in which the overwhelming flavor is from hops misses the point of beer. Having said that, I am a big fan of Newcastle. I recently bought a pack of Michelob Porter which I thought was surprisingly good. Quote
slomoe Posted May 15, 2008 Posted May 15, 2008 Sam adam's cherry wheat. I don't drink very much, but their summer ale is great. Quote
Super User grimlin Posted May 15, 2008 Super User Posted May 15, 2008 Sam adam's cherry wheat. I don't drink very much, but their summer ale is great. I agree.A 6 pack is plenty, after 6 you kinda start to lose the taste with Sam adam's ale(starts to not taste right). If i'm gonna drink to get a buzz going i usually just drink Milwaukee's beer. Quote
Super User roadwarrior Posted May 15, 2008 Super User Posted May 15, 2008 I like a new beer now and then. Rolling Rock is one I've been drinking lately. Still, the King of Beers rules the roost. 8-) Quote

RobbyZ5001 Posted May 15, 2008 Posted May 15, 2008 When a college student spends all his money on fishing: PBR, keystone, natural ice, miluakees best. When a college student has money: Yuengling, Labatts, Smithicks, Amberbock, Heineken, Hoegaarden. Quote
powerman970 Posted May 15, 2008 Posted May 15, 2008 I brew my own beer but if I am going to buy from the supermarket I like: Hoegaarden - as well as most active yeast beers Samuel Adams - Summer Brew (seasonal so buy several cases) Killian's Red Any wheat beer Corona is good for a change Coors Light for everyday use I have also discovered that some of the malt beverages are pretty good. I believe it is Bacardi who makes a mango flavored mojito that sure does go down easy when you are hot and thirsty. Quote
