Lol that works

I don't think that anyone can really tell you what you should get for a tattoo.  You're the one that has to live with it on your body.

But maybe for an idea, A gun/bow (whichever you prefer) and a fishing rod in an X-shape on your arm. That will probably take alot of detail though lol

just remember, it is there forever.  maybe work on drawing it yourself.  i have two across the top of my back, shoulder to shoulder, and then the other(kinda part of the first one) goes under it and about halfway down my back.  i drew them both.  it is very satisfying and i know no one in the whole dang world has the exact same tattoo as me.

a tattoo should have significant meaning. if you are getting it to be cool, or because it looks good, you will regret it down the road. if you are gonna get a tatt, at least get something original. don't get something that  everyone has. like barbed wire around your arm or something similar. that look is played out--kinda like earings on men.

Many moons ago I decided, after way too many cans of Falls City Beer, that I wanted a tattoo.  I picked out what I considered to be a glorious eagle that I was going to have put on my right bicep.

The tattoo artist allowed as how that was a good choice and that I should come back when I was sober and he would fix me right up.  I objected that I wanted it right now.

"I ain't never tattooed a drunk and I ain't gonna start now," he responded.  God bless him.  I haven't been drunk since.

I have plenty of ink myself, but i always tell people to make sure that it's something that you will be proud to show your children, that has personal meaning to you, and that you can hide if you need to. you never know where you are going to end up in life and you never want a tattoo limiting your career options.

also make sure you do some research on the artist. It's not like if he makes a mistake he can just erase it.

Olebiker - you went to a really legit artist if he had the courage to say come back when you're sober.

I have barbed wire around my arm, but its intertwined with the hooks.  Idk if its real common but I really like it.  Just barbed wire is kind of plain though

(but as a Cowboy fan, I'm happy you didn't get an eagle too) ;D

My brother-in-law has a Denver Broncos logo tattooed on his forearm.  He didn't realize it was the Broncos' logo; he just thought it looked like a cool picture of a horse.

Regardless of what you want. It's, what is it going to look like when your old and grey? Advise given by my father when I was thinking of getting one. I'm glad I didn't.

i was told they won't tat you when your drunk, just because your blood won't coagulate.       not sure i'd thank him, but maybe you could thank state regulations.

;)

My roomate got one over spring break (ha, yeah..) anyway the dude told him he couldn't drink the day before.

Nice one Matt. Here's one of mine, needs a little more work, but it won't be my last. I'm thinking of something fishing related, but I'm not sure yet.

Brent, your right. When you drink, you bleed a lot more.

Speak softly and carry a big stick. Now that's a good line! LOL

I have thorns around my arm (to avoid being 'the same' as everyone's barbed wire)

And mine has little droplets of blood around it, like its eating into my skin. I actually planned on possible putting J.C. on my arm, and figured i'd have a 'start'. That was almost 10 years ago. :-/

b       (i still like my tat, but got rid of the earrings about 8 years ago.)

Brent, you almost avoided being the same.   ;)

I have thorns too  LOL

I have been considering a G. Loomis logo on my shoulder blade.  That is one of the coolest looking logos out there and it represents my love for fishing.
