Super User Root beer Posted May 3, 2008 Super User Posted May 3, 2008 I just recently purchased a Haro flightline two bike and man I love it! Worth every dime I dropped on it. Anyone eles like to do some mountain biking? it pretty fun going down hill on a narrow path!!! Quote
Olebiker Posted May 3, 2008 Posted May 3, 2008 I have broken ribs on three occasions while mountain biking. At 57 I have given my mountain bike to my son-in-law, but still love road riding. Quote
guitarkid Posted May 4, 2008 Posted May 4, 2008 I always wanted a mountain bike, but being in high school, with out a job and NOBY IS HIRING could slightly lower my odds of getting one. -searoach Quote
Super User fourbizz Posted May 4, 2008 Super User Posted May 4, 2008 I try to only ride vehicles with internal combustion motors. Mountainbiking is ok when gravity replaces the motor. Only problem is....me and gravity dont get along, lol. Quote

FR0G Posted May 4, 2008 Posted May 4, 2008 I mtb! I got a Giant Warp with tons of upgrades. I try and ride everyday. Gotta stay in shape! Heres just a little vid of me getting some lame air, haha. http://smg.photobucket.com/albums/v687/metalmulisha189/?action=view¤t=1016071758.flv Quote
guitarkid Posted May 4, 2008 Posted May 4, 2008 Lame air or not, that is a nice bike. -searoach Quote
Popeye Posted May 5, 2008 Posted May 5, 2008 While riding the last mountain bike I had on the street, I hit a huge rut and flew over the handlebars, cracked my helmet (thank the Lord I was wearing one - always do), and cracked 3 ribs. Sold the dang thing a week later. I still love to ride my road bikes and I also have a commuter hybrid Trek which is nice to ride but a tad on the slow side. Quote
guitarkid Posted May 5, 2008 Posted May 5, 2008 You want fast? I have an old ROBINSON PATRIOT that a friend of mine gave me. I have no idea what kind of ratio it has on it, but it is pretty hooked up. By the way my friend used to race BMX as an am. Now he is a medic in the Screaming Eagles. -searoach Quote
BucketmouthAngler13 Posted May 7, 2008 Posted May 7, 2008 I love mountain biking although I mostly do road biking. Here is a mountain bike I built last winter. I got three good bikes in horrible condition, salvaged the parts, built it up, and ended up with this beast (turned out amazing! Not to hijack the thread or anything, but here is the road bike I'm using now. I got it in August of last year and so far, and just from riding to school everyday, it has 18,000 miles on it. (not including other useage) Quote

ian515 Posted May 13, 2008 Posted May 13, 2008 Specialized how are their bike's right now. I am so out of the game since I moved here, but last I heard, specialized were some pretty sweet bikes. the demo series was awesome when it first came out. Foes, devinci, kona, all those brands were pretty sweet for different reasons. it really depends on what you are doin. Quote
