Super User Gone_Phishin Posted May 5, 2008 Super User Posted May 5, 2008 I'm a monster fan of disc golf. The college I graduated from has an 18 hole course on campus. I even took disc golf I and II for a PE credit. I injured my spine about a year ago, so I haven't played in some time. Winter is a great time to play, usually you will have the course to yourself.......just leave the white discs at home. ;D Quote
Super User Matt Fly Posted May 5, 2008 Super User Posted May 5, 2008 Been playin Disc Golf for about 28 years. Started when I was in the Navy out in San Diego. First course i ever played on was at Balboa Park. Quote
Bass Tard Posted May 5, 2008 Posted May 5, 2008 It's a good time and alot cheaper than real golf. I have to say it's even more excercise than real golf. I love it myself too. It's not better than fishing though. Quote
Super User BrianinMD Posted May 7, 2008 Super User Posted May 7, 2008 Awesome game, just started playing this year. There is a 27 hole course going along a creek, and thru the trees of the park. The course is less then 10 minutes from my house. Great way to get out for some exercise. Started taking my 10 year old daughter, she loved it the first hole she played. Quote

Super User Gone_Phishin Posted May 8, 2008 Super User Posted May 8, 2008 My drivers that see the most use are a 10X KC Cheetah at 168g, and two Discraft Z-XL's at 168 and 174g. My fav midrange of alltime is the discontinued SE Super Roc at 180g. The 10X KC Roc is my fav long distance midrange. My CE candy Classic Roc is sweet too. The Discraft Elite MRV is my finesse approach disc. The DX and CE Rhino's are my workhorses/brush busters. I like to putt with a Z-Putter in the wind, and an Innova putt/approach in stable conditions. The Discraft Elite-Swirl APX is another I've really grown to like. I've always wanted to try the older soft Wizard putters. I've made more crazy/difficult longer shots with an original, candy CE Shark than any other disc. For tailwind drives, I'll use a 163 SE Valkyrie. For headwind drives, I'll use 171 CE Eagle. Quote
