Super User burleytog Posted January 8, 2008 Super User Posted January 8, 2008 The Bourne Ultimatum - Not bad, a little too choppy for my taste. I hate handheld camera work. American Pie - Beta House - A great plot-free teen flick with a good amount of gratutious nudity. Balls of Fury - Not as bad as I had anticipated. Kind of like Dodgeball meets Enter the Dragon. Quote
Masshole Mike Posted January 8, 2008 Posted January 8, 2008 just watched the bourne ultimatum last night, i thought it was pretty good. final destination 3 = terrible. recycled plot line and death scenes, and just all around boring. the first one was decent, but the 2nd and 3rd were terrible saw 2-whatever they're at now (3? 4?) = terrible. see above. Fisher of Men Posted January 8, 2008 Posted January 8, 2008 A GREAT movie to watch with your family is "The Ultimate Gift", but keep the Kleenexes handy. You've been warned, toughguys!! :'( Quote
Masshole Mike Posted January 8, 2008 Posted January 8, 2008 oh yeah, Sweeney Todd was a snoozefest, too. save your $10 and buy another spool of line. Quote
Evan Pease Posted January 8, 2008 Posted January 8, 2008 Superbad is hilarious but it has a lot of bad language : Halloween PWNS! Quote
Chad. Posted January 8, 2008 Posted January 8, 2008 Transformers; If you haven't seen it watch it , there Megan fox in it! Quote
slomoe Posted January 8, 2008 Posted January 8, 2008 The Bothers Solomon- This movie was hilarious. Great movie if you need a laugh. Quote
Other. Posted January 8, 2008 Posted January 8, 2008 Rush Hour 3 - Not as good as the first and second but still very very funny. However it did not have as many fights as I would like to see but the comedy made up for it. Quote
jeremyt Posted January 9, 2008 Posted January 9, 2008 I saw "Super Bad" as well, pretty good mindless humor. Makes me want to change my screen name to " McLovin" HotRod was stupid and a waste of 2 hours. Quote
Super User burleytog Posted January 9, 2008 Author Super User Posted January 9, 2008 I AM LEGEND - A decent zombie-type flick. Not as good as Dawn of the Dead, but still worth watching. Quote
senko_77 Posted January 9, 2008 Posted January 9, 2008 Superbad is hilarious but it has a lot of bad language : Halloween PWNS! X2 bro. Those two movies are amazing. A few more that are up with superbad in the "funniness" catagory are 40 year old virgin, and knocked up. Quote
Cigarlover 1 Posted January 10, 2008 Posted January 10, 2008 3:10 To Yuma. Awesome movie. If you like westerns this is a no brainer. If you don't like westerns I'd bet that you would still like. This movie kept me intrigued from the very beginning to the very end. Didn't feel like 2 hrs at all. In a good way. Quote

Tokyo Tony Posted January 10, 2008 Posted January 10, 2008 Best movie I've seen in a while was The Illusionist with Ed Norton and Scarlett Johansen. Very well done, excellent acting, and I didn't even suspect the twist that came at the end. It really surprised me. The worst movie I've seen in a LONG time (and I've seen some really crappy ones) was Ghostrider with Nick Cage. He's a good actor, but even he couldn't make the horrendous dialogue work. The only actor in the movie who was impressive was Sam Elliot - he was awesome. But I almost didn't make it through the movie. Every time I was about to change the channel, Nick Cage would turn into Ghostrider and I would have to watch him ride around and kill bad guys. Quote
Super User Tin Posted January 10, 2008 Super User Posted January 10, 2008 300-Movie will blow your mind Quote

Evan Pease Posted January 11, 2008 Posted January 11, 2008 The Simpsons is good if your a fan of the show. And x2 about The 40 Year Old Virgin, its great. Quote
Jake P Posted January 11, 2008 Posted January 11, 2008 Grandma's boy X2 I could watch that movie back to back and still laugh. Knocked up was good, of course superbad was good also. im watching 3:10 to yuma tomorrow! Quote
senko_77 Posted January 11, 2008 Posted January 11, 2008 Grandma's boy ROFL!! I can't believe I forgot this movie in my last reply. This is probably the funniest movie ever. Quote
michbass Posted January 12, 2008 Posted January 12, 2008 Just saw 3:10 to Yuma pretty good, love Western style movies though. Watched war also with jet li... not sure if liked it or not, expected more Plan on seeing In the name of the King this weekend. Quote
Super User KU_Bassmaster. Posted January 12, 2008 Super User Posted January 12, 2008 I am a member of the Blockbuster online/mail thing so I usually watch around 3-4 movies a week. Last night it was "Lucky Number Slevin" .... wasn't for me. Just did not get it. Turned it off after 20 minutes. On a side note I think two of the best movies I have seen within the past year are "Apocalypto" and "City of God". Neither of them are in english. Before I watched these two movies I would never give a subtitle movie a chance. Really after 10-15 minutes you don't even realize you are reading. Plus both these movies were incredible. I highly recommend them ... especially Apocalypto. Quote
Super User burleytog Posted January 12, 2008 Author Super User Posted January 12, 2008 Rescue Dawn - A bit too slow in pacing and plot development. Zahn was good. Jackass 2.5 - More of the same. What's not to love? Special Features on the DVD are better than the feature. Quote
