SenkoBasser Posted April 14, 2008 Posted April 14, 2008 ............. woodburning/pyrography. I've got some cool stuff I'm working on. I'd like to see other's work and maybe swap ideas or something. By any chance. I don't think too many people do it any more. Quote
Dean Posted April 14, 2008 Posted April 14, 2008 ....does having a bon fire behind your neighbors backyard when hes not home count? Sorry but thats as close as I get to burning wood! ;D Quote
Super User Sam Posted April 15, 2008 Super User Posted April 15, 2008 They still sell woodburning kits? I think I had one back in the 60s. Nope, too much other stuff to do than woodburning but please show us some of your work. Quote
Popeye Posted April 15, 2008 Posted April 15, 2008 I remember having one of those wood burning art kits when I was a kid (also in the early 60's). I can still recall the soldering iron type burner and the smell of the wood as it charred. I think the picture I burned into the wood block supplied with the kit and "pre-marked" for simplicity (i.e. kinda like connecting the dots) was an Indian Chief with a war bonnet on. Post some pictures of your art. I'm sure we'd all like to see them! Quote
SenkoBasser Posted April 15, 2008 Author Posted April 15, 2008 I'll post this project when its done. Its a small table and it will have a vine border. Cabin fever man. I think thats why I started fooling around with it. That, and the fact that I'm already kind of an artist and I love that charred wood smell. Quote
fishbear Posted April 16, 2008 Posted April 16, 2008 I do wood burning. I find it an excellent relaxing side hobby. I am not much of an artist, but i love doing it. Quote
BucketmouthAngler13 Posted April 17, 2008 Posted April 17, 2008 I've done some woodburning. I've done some pictures and a checkerboard, but thats about it. Its really fun and it smells really good lol Quote
