jhoffman Posted May 26, 2008 Posted May 26, 2008 I was fishing some submerged trees yesterday and lost quite a few lures. I didnt dare throw my cranks in it but I lost some nice soft stuff. I rigged it texas and lost a few, rigged it weightless and lost a few, all weedless. I didnt even try a carolina rig cause that seemed like a recipe for disaster. Any tips, hints, I hate losing gear. MattStrykul Posted May 26, 2008 Posted May 26, 2008 Pegged Trig or jig or EVEN throw that crankbait! They are meant to be lost and beat the heck out of. Get a square billed on, it should deflect quite well. Quote
Still a Bigbuckifan Posted May 27, 2008 Posted May 27, 2008 a florida rig is just a weight that screws in to the plastic Quote
fishizzle Posted May 27, 2008 Posted May 27, 2008 Also some creature baits legs get hung up more and same with curly tail worms so try strait short worma or craws. and make sure the weedless rid is skin hooked after too and I love florida screw in weights for trees. Quote
jhoffman Posted May 27, 2008 Author Posted May 27, 2008 Was throwing braid, ill look into the florida rig. Quote
