AB/Micro; Thats the problem, right there.Your a responable gun owner(I assume)There is way to many A--holes out there that give responsable folks a bad name.(screw the spell checkI'm worked up... :-?)

I know that alot of states require qualifacation,I think all states should...I also think that once you qualify your license should be good where ever you are.

Ya know that old guy is probly gonna be in some trouble for what he did ,he reacted without thinking first..But take a minute to think about what he was defending. He was defending his neighbors property,at that moment he wasn't thinking of himself, only his neighbor.Maybe if there were more folks like him around, there wouldn't be as many people willing to break into your nieghbors house...

I don't think any judge in his right mind would grant me a permit to even own a gun. ;D

You need a permit to own a gun?  :-?

Well I was kind of refering to telecasters comment about getting police approval. I guess Im just saying I don't think I would make it past the application process.

What city in Virginia requires police approval?  Virginia is an "instant background" state.  You pass the instant background (and meet the basic qualifications), you can walk out with your gun.

With respect to the concealed carry permit, Virginia is a "Shall Issue" state.  You pass your background check, and take the course, you get the permit.  There is no subjectivity to it anymore.  The law says the state "shall" issue the permit.  "Shall" means it doesn't have a choice.

Yeh, I carry, not all the time but when I go somewhere remote or late at night.  Springfield XD 9mm or Sig 229 .40.  I also have a Colt Det. Spec. I bought years ago when Colt would sell to everyday folks.  I stopped in at my local gun shop the other day and got to talking with the owner about carry in other states.  PA doesn't have reciprocity with very many other states, including Ohio, which is right next door.  I was told however that one can take the required course from a Utah certified instructor, apply for a Utah permit, (you do NOT have to be a resident of Utah) and carry in 31 other states that have reciprocity with Utah.  I believe the license is $59 plus the instructors fee, then renewal is only $10 every 5 years.  I don't often travel to too many other states, but that sure would save some hassle when I do.  Of course, you must abide by Utah's carry laws.

Do you carry concealed?

Nope and wouldn 't even dare to do it even if I had the chance, in Mexico it 's illegal for you to carry any kind of handguns, you can if you have a permit, but you can die of old age before your permit to carry a handgun is approved. Only off duty military personel and policemen are allowed to carry handguns.

Which is why I live in the good 'ol USA!! But the good 'ol USA is starting to become not so good 'ol!!! Too many SOB politicians trying to take away our guns!!! >:( >:( >:( >:(

Tight Lines ;) 8-)

The answer to the question was in your first post ;NO I AM NOT OLD ENOUGH. The little story about GA and your retort to Raul was Political, not answering the original question.

I would love to own a Whalker PPK, it is my favorite , old but I liked firing that weapon. I am planning on moving back to NYC, unless you OWN  a business or are retired law enforcement it is next to impossible to get a carry permit. :-/ I might be able to go through the rings and get one here in PA, by the time that happens I will be ready to move.

NH is shall issue as all states should be IMO but I'm not going to open that can of worms.  ::)

I don't carry as often as I did when I lived in CT but my Ruger SP101 is always along when I'm fishing or camping.

What caliber is that, Catt?

Nevermind, .44mag.  I didn't see the Super Blackhawk.

Reason I asked, I have a Blackhawk .30 Carbine which I really like but

like yours, too hard to conceal.

Is ARMORED VEHICLE season open ?

Man, with that thing you can shoot a T-72 tank and make the turret pop up from it like if it were a can of soda.

The tactical Glock 30 .45 acp with sandpaper grips, is my weapon of choice. After being a cop, never leave home without it. Extra mags are a must. Never had a problem after sticking cuffs on someone but you never know.

It's Tactical

Like your "tactical" shorts you have on in that picture with your "tactical" crack hanging out? Does anyone still have that picture?

As always, I'm humbled by your simple wisdom  :)

Whats the difference from the "tactical" glock 30 and any other glock?

I think it has to due with the accessory rail bar on the frame ahead of the trigger guard.
