I do - very occassionally.  Especially if I have to go out late.

Here's my newest pistol.  It's a Glock 36 .45 ACP.  It's got a single stack magazine, but man is it slim.  Makes my Para-Ordnance P12-45 feel like a canned ham on my hip.  I got some Don Hume leather to carry it in.

The other side...

I am taking the class in May mainly for the safety and legal aspect.  I do not intend to carry often but would rather have a pistol for home protection than a big shotgun.  That and certain situations, I want to be able to carry.

It's next to impossible to obtain a concealed carry permit in the Peoples Republic of California.   Too bad.

I hardly ever carry.  But I got a permit some time ago when Virginia relaxed the rules.  Virginia is a "shall issue" state - they have to issue the license unless you don't qualify.  Back in the '80s and '90s before the "shall issue" law some district court judge made a decision based on his whim.   Some people got them, others couldn't, for no good reason.

I carry two everyday and all day when I'm out of the house.  I carry a  .38 Smith and Wesson Airweight in my shorts pocket at all times.  If I'm not wearing shorts then I always carry a Glock 40cal model 22 on my side.

And yes, sometimes I carry both on me.

I also sometimes carry my Benelli Super 90 semi-auto 12gauge shotgun and AR-15.

I generally just have mine concealed in my vehicle but I will start carrying it more on my person than I have been since getting my concealed carry permit.  My usual carry gun is a Glock 17 9mm, but I'd like to get something less bulky and heavy, as finances permit.  I also sometimes carry a .380... much more comfortable, but I don't feel nearly as well protected as when I have the Glock with me.

I usually keep a glock 22 (40 cal) in my truck. I don't have a concealed license, but TX doesn't mess around when it comes to protecting yourself. I'd probably get in double trouble, as i just realized i haven't replaced the clip yet. My mom works for the county sheriffs dept, so i got it from her when she got a new one. It has the cool clip with the extra finger grip (but with extra rounds for law enforcement) I'm going to go get that out of the truck right now.

The sheriff's officers are considerably older (on avg) than the P.D. where I'm from. They joke that the Sheriff's Dept changed to 40 cals because they didn't want to have to run down people, after they shoot them. ;D

First, it's a magazine, not a clip.  That is unless you're carrying an M1 Garand.  ;)

This is a clip.

Second, why would it make any difference where you got the magazine?  There are no magazine restrictions in Texas.  80% of my AR mags are marked LE Only.

How yall carry open?

Open carry is very legal in VA.  We are forced to open carry in restaurants that serve alcohol.

Myself, I hate dealing with concealment issues so if I'm carrying, it is usually open.  I have never gotten a second look.

I carry concealed often, mostly due to my occupation and the people I run into when not working.

My favorite carry gun is my Kel-Tec PF-9, what a great little gun!

I also have a small Glock, I don't carry that gun too much anymore since the PF-9 is soo light.

As always, BE SAFE and SMART, when carrying!

Nice Glock!!!

I would carry one but I'm too young. The day I turn 21 I'm getting one!!!

If every citizen carried a gun or had one in their house, crime would go WAAAAY down!! In a small town in Georgia they passed a law requireing every adult male to have a gun in his house. And in like three years they only had 2 murders, both were with a knife. And their crime rate was next to ZERO!!

Gun Control means using both hands!!!

I got my permit about 6 months ago but I never carry.  I usually have either my Taurus 24/7 Pro .40 or my new Rock Island Armory 1911 in my truck both loaded with Hornady TAP JHP's.

Pretty much every day.  For real dressy occasions it's a Colt Pony Pocketlite or Kel-tec, in a pocket holster-but for 90% of my everyday carry it's one of these carried IWB...

I don' t currently carry, but Wilmington is getting to be a rough town, and there are alot of suspicious characters hanging around at the boat ramps at Suttun Lake and the NE Cape Fear river in the evenings.

Flechero,

That Tuarus you have, looks like the same pistol my wife and I are planning on buying.

Roadwarrier that is a nice one too. Must keep that one in mind. Thanks  ;D

Did you know that the 45's are tested at the factory and if they don't hold a group less than 1.5 inches at 25 yards with a 3.5 inch barrel it is pulled off the line, stripped down and completely rebuilt.

My husband got the pleasure of meeting Chuck lutz yesterday. He actually worked for kimber and set up 2 of the 45 caliber factory lines and is the gunsmith that does any and all warrenty work for the whole country. It turns out that he lives about 20 minutes from us.  :)

My husband would like to purchase this one next.

Those are fine looking weapons. You can't go wrong with Kimber.
