I can prove intelligent lives exists in outer space; they aint tried contacting anyone on earth ;)

My sister has! I used to go out for walks in the country at night in Indiana when I was a teenager hoping to see a UFO or possibly even make contact with aliens. Don't laugh. There are MANY who think like I do and they're not all in institutions:o)

I have not seen any, but I've watched several documentaries about UFO's, and although they're definitely sensationalized, there are facts that can't be denied, such as sightings by several different residents of an area, with similar descriptions.  Then the government says it was some kind of test run of a new aircraft.  Right.

The most credible reports come from trained, licensed veteran pilots.  Many have gone on record saying they definitely saw UFO's while in flight.

I have no doubt that alien life forms have been checking us out for a long time, although I can't say I've seen any of their craft myself.

Does that make me crazy?  I think YOU'RE the crazy one if you think I'm crazy  ;D

I detest the over-use of the term UFO.

What is a UFO?  An Unidentified Flying Object.  It could be anything.

I'm with you there Burley.  Having seen a UFO and having seen a "spaceship" are far from the same.

There has been some big deal made of this lately over some unkown lights in the sky not too far from here in Stephenville, Texas.  We also live near Aurora, Texas where a "supposed" landing took place in the late 1800's.  Just another way to make $$$.

To rephrase in my earlier post, replace every "UFO" with "alien spacecraft".

Do you guys believe that no alien spacecraft has ever entered our atmosphere in recent history?

I can't say I blame you - I was a skeptic myself.  What made me change my mind was watching a few documentaries.  It was wild.

P.S. 'UFO' connotes something like alien spacecraft, flying saucer, etc, even though it technically means what you said, Burley.  That happens all the time with words - they start out as something, but evolve into something else that's not quite what it started as.  Strictly speaking, yes, UFO is just something flying that we can't identify.  A gorilla could hurl his turd through the air, and if we only see the blur of the turd and not the gorilla, it's a UFO  ;D

MAYBE THIS CAN EXPLAIN THE PRESENCE OF RED SOX FANS AMONG US, AND THEY CAN REPRODUCE NOW

Either way what difference does it make, I remember when everyone was  fascinated  with crop circles and it turned out to be a buch of drunks with rakes.

I have seen a flying saucer.  Made by Avro.  Currently on display at Ft. Eustis, Virginia.

Seriously, though.  I think it would be incredibly vain to think we are the only life in the universe.  Apparently, several planets have been found in star's "habitable zones" which could support liquid water.   I find it all very fascinating.

You guys can bicker all you want.

I don't believe that all witnesses would make up stories just to be thought of as crazy. Granted you will have some people that do it just to be on TV.

I have seen things in the sky that certainly weren't jet airplanes or swamp gas. What they were I don't have a clue. I can't say they were alien spaceships, but I can say that they were not any normal aircraft that you normally see overhead.

I've seen some odd things in my life. This one takes the cake. Whether or not it was an alien spacecraft, who knows.

Back in '96 I was visiting my folks. They own a small ranch about 20 minutes south of where I live. We had gone out to a late dinner and I was driving my folks back home. If I recall it was in the spring, beautiful night and not a cloud in the sky.

When we arrived back at their house my dad went right in but mom and I were admiring the stars as we were walking back to the house. We couldnt believe how many stars were in the sky, and being that they live outside of town with no street lights the sky was alive with stars. Really nice evening.

As we walked closer to the house I heard a noise, coming in our direction but oddly it was not a sound that a plane would make. It simply sounded like air being pushed, if that makes any sense. Almost like this "aircraft" was gliding.

It passed direcetly over us. I could only make out the perimeter of the craft, which was literaly shaped like a loaf of bread. French Loaf. :)

All joking aside, mom and I just stood there and stared at this thing as it passed over us. It was flying fairly low and again, we could just make out the perimeter of the object and nothing else. No flashing lights of any kind, no lights at all. It appeared to be black in fact.

We stood there watching it til we couldnt see it anymore. To this day I have no idea what it was and I will never forget that evening as long as I live. I never called anyone, made any report or anything. What for?

And no I wasnt drinking and even though it was fairly late (about 1am) I was wide awake. I know the shape that I saw and it was definitely not a plane. There were no wings at all on this thing. That was evident by the silhoute it created against the stars as it passed over us.

I agree that we are probably not the only beings in the whole universe. Although i did get to wondering...

Scientists on Earth say that all life needs water to live... but what if other creatures not on Earth did not need water? Is that a possibility? Scientists and astronomers are looking for planets that can have liquid water, for signs of life but what if the creatures mentioned above existed? Just a thought! ;D I have too much time to think. I should stop being so distracted when fishing... ;) I wonder if aliens go fishing too? Then they see a bass and they will say "what the heck is that? It is hideous! Our (alien species gamefish) is much better than this thing!" sorry for the long post guys, continue on.

Yes, I have seen something, and have never seen anything like it anywhere, before, or since.
