Super User Redlinerobert Posted March 27, 2008 Super User Posted March 27, 2008 So this afternoon was quiet for me and I've been thinking, what other idnustry would I like to get involved in? I have a few for sure that I think would be fun. Fashion - whether it be jeans, shirts or whatever. Seems like fun. TV/Movies - would love to be infront or behind the camera. Oil - I know no one in this industry but it seems like an extremely lucrative industry. What about you guys and gals? Quote
Guest muddy Posted March 27, 2008 Posted March 27, 2008 The I hit the Mega Millions lottery and Im goin fishin for the rest of my life industry Actually: I am blessed I love working with these kids, I will never be rich dollar wise but inside I am happy Quote
Super User burleytog Posted March 27, 2008 Super User Posted March 27, 2008 I'd like to run my own restaurant. Quote
Low_Budget_Hooker Posted March 27, 2008 Posted March 27, 2008 Oil and Tobacco would be last on my list,.....whatever I end up doing has to involve integrity. Perhaps "Alternative fuels" like some of the Hydrogen stuff coming out.... My dream job would be to own a ranch/lodge with about a 1000 acre mega-bass lake. 3 guides, marina, natural resources director for ranch nature tours, etc, 5 star food, no more than 6 guests at a time (won't be cheap). Open 1/2 the yr, the other 1/2 we fly in disabled/disadvantaged kids for stays of 1 week at a time. Tie it in with the marine biology dept at the state college and let them use the lake as a lab, in turn, providing free lake/fishery management. The whole place is a write off and a place where a lot of good can be done. Yea,.....I've daydreamed a bit too......... Quote

Super User Gone_Phishin Posted March 27, 2008 Super User Posted March 27, 2008 -I'd love to design disc golf courses. The possibilities are endless here. I once played a course in Oregon that started at 6,600 ft above sea level. We had to take a gondola up the mountain to hole one, and it played all 18 down the mountain. Incredible. -The Arts. More specifically the written word. Constructing, proofreading, workshopping, etc. Creative or expository, doesn't matter. Hopefully someday. I devoted five years of my life to the written word in school, with several more as soon as I can afford it. Quote

frogtog Posted March 27, 2008 Posted March 27, 2008 I'm lucky I'm completely satisfied with what I am. If you want to get rich you need to invest in COAL for the long haul. Quote
fishbear Posted March 27, 2008 Posted March 27, 2008 I would love to have my own gunsmithing shop. I love working on firearms. I love building custom rifles for people. But most of all, I love educating people about firearms and teaching them how to shoot and shoot safely and accurately..... especially the ladies.. : : Quote
Madhouse27 Posted March 27, 2008 Posted March 27, 2008 I'm in the beer business. I like beer. The great thing about it is that you can celebrate with it or you can cry into it. It's the perfect beverage for any occasion. Oh and the money's not too bad either. What I'd really like to do is teach a class on financial planning and debt reduction. I think that I could help teach some people a few skills about managing their income that might actually make their lives better. Now, dealing with the bait monkey...that may be beyond even my abilities. Quote
Pond Hopper Posted March 27, 2008 Posted March 27, 2008 I one day hope to be a college professor, but that would be a similar industry to what I am doing now. I always wanted to be involved in Natural Resources, the DNR, something where I was working with fish, game, conservation, and the outdoors. Quote
Super User Tin Posted March 27, 2008 Super User Posted March 27, 2008 Dreaming: I would like to move down to the Coosa River chain and be a guide and start a plastic and jig company. Simple, but it would be a great life. In reality, I will probably end up being a School Psychologist, and if college doesn't work I could always stay at UPS. Quote
Super User Bassn Blvd Posted March 27, 2008 Super User Posted March 27, 2008 I'd like to get out of the porn industry and into a "real" job. These girls only want me for one thing and I can't take it anymore. Quote

Tokyo Tony Posted March 27, 2008 Posted March 27, 2008 I want to come up with an idea (I've got a few), start a company, work hard building it over several years, sell it, then live the good life - fish a lot and watch a lot of TV. It seems easy when I say it like that 8-) Quote

BassChaser57 Posted March 27, 2008 Posted March 27, 2008 I want to be a professional lottery winner but since that won't happen I suppose flying is as good as it is going to get for me. I have the time to go play and fish at great lakes during the prime times. It looks like the wife and I will be getting a place on Lake Fork this year so airplanes will stay in my future so I have 2 weeks per month to jerk some lips. Quote
dumb_dog11 Posted March 27, 2008 Posted March 27, 2008 Oil and Tobacco would be last on my list,.....whatever I end up doing has to involve integrity. Perhaps "Alternative fuels" like some of the Hydrogen stuff coming out.... Hydrogen is extremely inefficient. To get the hydrogen that is used in alternative energies comes from water. Great right? In order to get the hydrogen separated from the water, a strong electrical current is needed. This gets charged through the water creating H+ ions and O2- ions. The electricity used to separate the ions comes from coal, which when burned pollutes tons and tons of sulfur, which is bad. Sorry to bore you Anyway, when I grow up I would like to be a Environmental Lawyer. Quote
Super User Catt Posted March 27, 2008 Super User Posted March 27, 2008 Commercials on TV; there some dumb $hit that makes millions I still want to open a Marina on Toledo Bend, I eyed one but it recently sold Quote
Olebiker Posted March 27, 2008 Posted March 27, 2008 I would like to be a gentleman farmer. I see a lot of them in South Georgia. They drive nice trucks and bass boats, shoot nice shotguns, and, even though they are farmers, never have to get manure on their Tony Lamas. Quote
