bassdocktor Posted March 25, 2008 Posted March 25, 2008 Came home yesterday after being out of town to see a letter in the mail. Little nervous but............ I got accepted into pharmacy school. I'm still waiting to hear from 2 more that are closer but I have to go to one for an interview tomorrow. Man I was surprised since they said it would take atleast 2 weeks and they had my letter in the mail 3 days after my interview. The best part is that I don't have to finish my undergrad degree. I'll get out a year early and start working on my pharmD. Quote
Guest muddy Posted March 25, 2008 Posted March 25, 2008 Congratulations. That is the major I started with, and never completed Quote
Cujo Posted March 25, 2008 Posted March 25, 2008 Congrats! My wife is looking into doing the same thing. She is currently looking into classes and where to take them. Cool! Good Luck! Quote
Tokyo Tony Posted March 25, 2008 Posted March 25, 2008 Congrats! Pharmacists make good money = baitmonkey has his eye on you A friend of mine decided to go into that field, and after his first chemistry class, decided it wasn't for him. Good luck with ORGO Quote
llPa1nll Posted March 25, 2008 Posted March 25, 2008 Congratulations!!! I hope you make the best out of this major opportunity you have ahead of you. Quote
bassdocktor Posted March 25, 2008 Author Posted March 25, 2008 Thanks guys. Yeah Tokyo Orgo isn't alot of fun. It also depends on the teacher too. The downside is that with all of the studying I won't be able to visit here as often. Quote
ejtaylor822 Posted March 25, 2008 Posted March 25, 2008 Congratulations!!!! Glad to see you are getting the Pharmd. My wife's class (2000) was the last that had the option of choosing a BS in pharmacy or going PharmD. Thank the Good Lord above she was able to get in the PharmD - a lot people got turned down. Congratulations and good job. Think its a great profession. Quote
bassdocktor Posted March 26, 2008 Author Posted March 26, 2008 Again guys thanks for the kind words. Well I just finished my last interview about 3 hrs ago. Went really well especially when he did the usual "tell me about yourself." Obviously fishing came up. It turned out he used to live in Texas and fished there. So that led to about 5 minutes of fishing talk. It was pretty cool because after that he kept trying to work it into all my questions. It'll be interesting to see what happens with this one. bassdocktor Quote
