I remember when Stanley came out with "tapered wire" spinner arms which supposedly increased vibration.

But that was a very long time ago, and I'd have thought by now they've been upstaged by titanium wire.

Stanley's Vibra Shaft which is a tapered wire, it is still available; I've used them for years

Stanley also makes a Titanium Shaft Spinner Bait

Stanley's major innovation is their Wedge blades which produces more vibration the any blades available.

To bad paint has nothing to do with catching fish  ;)

i would differ with that.i think they catch more fish without the head being unpainted.and how can they call it a quality bait when the paint comes off faster than a hooker's clothes?

How can you complain about paint falling off if you are a Dodge guy?   ;)  Just kidding, I drive a Dodge too, I just had to say it.

I think that the Vibrashaft is a good bait at a decent price.  I have one and I personally haven't had an experiences were the paint came off the head.

i think they would be great if the paint stayed on.the rest of the bait is awesome.

The paint on the head of spinner bait is not what attracts bass to it; I think it has some thing to do with the blades and shirt. Then again you can believe what you want as for me I care more about the quality of the blades, swivel, skirt, & hook.

alright heres the truth

WHEN FISH HIT A SPINNER BAIT THEY ARE HITTING THE FLASH AND VIBRATION OF THE BAIT. The head doesnt matter. Dodge guy, i buy 1/2 spinner baits and melt the paint off when i get new ones. they they straighter without it

even if your right why would a company make such an otherwise excellent product and then put on lousy paint?that's like buying a rolls royce and the paint comes off.it makes no sense.they should do something with the paint because it really cheapens and otherwise fine product.

It's widely believed that bass are attracted to the flash and vibration (but hard to prove)

but one thing is for sure, bass invariably strike the skirt and not the spinner.

As for the head, it's only job is to provide the desired weight, it need not look pretty.
