P_Rock,

I see it now, I thought your post implied that was what we were doing.  (I read it, just misunderstood)

I agree 100% with everything said. And just like you muddy, I have made some mistakes on the forum that I learned from and at the time I seriously felt like I was being attacked and wanted to just leave, but I kept with the program and prayed everyone would forget it and so far things have been good.

Despite people wanting to leave, I will always know that Glenn made this forum with a lot of work and that his positive intentions are always in mind. Which is why I would never leave, no matter what happens.

But if someone really feels threatened, hurt or guilty I see no problem with them wanting to leave, it's their choice afterall, but I do agree that it would not be the best idea, and it just might hurt the other members as well.

Excellent thread made Flechero!

I just think that most of the time we assume, since we don't really know why, so we guess and of course "assume" there is a negative reason behind it.

I don't think any of us should lose sleep over some one ex-membering themselves, I figure I am here that all that matters.

JK ;D

Smart lady  ;)

Very well said Flechero.

Here's my take on it all:

I think when you ex-member yourself it's just like giving BassResource.com, the mods, and all of us members a big huge finger! And all it really does is show that you got your precious little feelings hurt and instead of just taking some time off to cool down, you took your toy and went to go play somewhere else.

Most of the time it's all because of a misunderstanding. Just take some time to cool off. APOLIGIZE!!! Even if you don't think you're at fault, it will show that you care about the other person and this community.

And before you hit that *delete* button, think about it. Don't do something that you'll regret later on. And most importantly: GROW UP PEOPLE!!!!

Just my 2 cents.

;) 8-)

you have no idea why someone would ex-member themselves. for you to assume that they are giving everyone on this forum the finger for leaving is just plain weak. and then you say grow up? who cares if someone ex-members themself. are you that worried about why they left? gimme a break.

Well I hate all of you.

Call it what you will, that's how we take it.  If you have another reason why someone would delete as opposed to just fading away and not posting, I'd be curious to hear it.

He's just saying people can make mistakes while in "profile edit" mode and not realize what they had done.

I had a problem with a member of the forum about 2 years back. FBL and LBH might remember. We traded paint on the forum and even arranged a meeting to knock his teeth out. The moderators reminded me what "bass fishing" was about. I was ready to tell everyone to shove it. But that brings me back to why I come here and why I fish. I used to be out of control, just ask my wife. Biker bars, brawlin', Drag racing and drinkin'.

Bass fishing provided me with what it took to calm down. I dig this forum, a lot. Ex-membering yourself without working it out is a pattern that will follow you through life. Hitting delete is quiting. Stand up for yourself and what you believe in. Don't sweat other people.

I just stay under the radar so when I get mad I can disappear for months without anybody noticing. :)

Huh? :-?  Who said that? ::)

How about entering the witness protection plan?  Perhaps if you owe the Guido the Shark some money?  Hiding from ex-wife?  ;D
