Super User .dsaavedra. Posted March 18, 2008 Super User Posted March 18, 2008 today SUCKED for me... :-[ heres how things went down: i wake up excited cuz my mom said that she would take me to the local park today for some fishing. so i paked up all my gear and loaded it in the car. after a quick lunch we head down the road to the park. when we get there its closed :-? so we turned right around and went all the way back home. very disappointing. so then my mom and sister decided that they are going to the mall and i wanted to go so i could go to dicks sporting goods to get a few DT-10's. so i tag along. well my sister needed to get a formal dress for her senior flute recital. i figured ok thats not so bad. well it took her 4 hours to finally settle on a dress. she was getting so stressed about each little thing and she was being a real b**** to my mom and they are both stressed out and everything is wrong. four hours later i get to go to dicks. this was the whole reason for me going. i get there, go to the rapala aisle, and then go to the DT section. i look down for the DT-10's. THEY DIDNT EVEN HAVE THE COLORS I WAS LOOKING FOR. as of then my whole day was ruined. my suffering didnt even pay off.......... :-[ hope you guys had a better day than me Quote
Hawgin Posted March 18, 2008 Posted March 18, 2008 Oh what I wouldn't give to be young and have no real stress in my life. > Quote

Super User .dsaavedra. Posted March 18, 2008 Author Super User Posted March 18, 2008 yeah im sure there are but it sucks pretty bad to have to turn around at one of your favorite fishing spots and then continue to waste your day by sitting around outside the dressing rooms at the mall for 4hrs. fish-fighting-illini Posted March 19, 2008 Posted March 19, 2008 yeah im sure there are but it sucks pretty bad to have to turn around at one of your favorite fishing spots and then continue to waste your day by sitting around outside the dressing rooms at the mall for 4hrs. If you think waiting on a woman is bad now you are in for a real surprise later on. I deserve the french medal of honor or something as there are 6 count em Six women at my house ( not counting visitors ) to just one male me. ARGHHH!!! LOL One day you will understand. Normal to not appreciate it now. As far as a bad day wait until the day ( hope it never happens to you ) that corp decides to downsize and you or your buddy or your spouse gets laid off after years of dedication. I'm not being cross just trying to point out that it can always be worse, don't sweat the small stuff. Sit back and girl watch for 4 hours! LOL Quote
Jake P Posted March 19, 2008 Posted March 19, 2008 Oh what I wouldn't give to be young and have no real stress in my life. > I hear that, except for the young part. That sucks man, better luck next time. btw NEVER EVER EVER go shopping with women when you have plans in the same day. Even if they say "i just have to grab one thing and thats it" DONT FALL FOR IT! Now you know . Quote
Gidget Posted March 19, 2008 Posted March 19, 2008 I can totally understand your frustration, because I can still remember being young so I hear you. I know most here say there is worst days than that, and they are right but that is just because they have lived more than you. We sometimes forget how hecktic it can be to be a kid and have a simple thing to look fowar to, maybe somthing small but that you looked foward to the whole week and when things don't come out the way you plan them, it's an awful feeling and I wish I could say it won't happen again, but it might, but second time around know that girls/shopping for a dress is always a whole day Quote
Popeye Posted March 19, 2008 Posted March 19, 2008 Cheer up, young man! As Bruce Dern said in a movie called "Posse" "Every day above ground is a good day!" Sorry to hear that you had to suffer all that fustration and stress but things like that that don't kill us only makes us stronger! Hope you get those DT-10s you want soon!!! Relax and eat a can of spinach. You'll feel better and STRONGER:o) Quote

ejtaylor822 Posted March 19, 2008 Posted March 19, 2008 Sorry for your bad day - everyone has them and they suck not matter the situation. Hang in there, buddy. It will get better. Next time, let your sister tag along with you and she can hang in the fishing section for 4 hours. Quote
Super User grimlin Posted March 19, 2008 Super User Posted March 19, 2008 Now you know why some guys stay single. There are days i sure wish i was single. Quote
guitarkid Posted March 19, 2008 Posted March 19, 2008 That is what cell phones are for. Just tell your mom to call you when they are done. Your problems are litteraly behind you and you do not have to worry about a thing. BUT you are lucky the only mall in my neck of the woods has nothing. just lots of really preppy people on $400 cell phones talking about the stoopidest stuff. -searoach Quote

Tokyo Tony Posted March 20, 2008 Posted March 20, 2008 Sorry about your day bud, but at least you learned about girls and shopping early. I remember exactly when I learned about it. Freshman year at college, two girls in my dorm asked if they could borrow my car to go get some dresses for a formal. Obviously that wasn't gonna happen (see thread on woman drivers ;D ), but since they were nice and extremely cute I offered to drive them to the store. They "only" took an hour and a half, but I'm pretty sure they "rushed" through it because I was stranded there, but that was a long wait for me in JC Penny, and I had no idea what I was getting into. farmpond1 Posted March 20, 2008 Posted March 20, 2008 I'll take your side, bud. Although it's been quite a while since I was your age, I remember how frustrating it can be to be dependent upon others to take you places, etc. etc. With 7 brothers and sisters, I spent the lions share of my time waiting for others. So I can relate. I'm not encouraging you to rebel or anything but yeah, it can stink. Oh, and girls can be a pain. Get use to that. Hang in there! Quote
maxke01 Posted March 20, 2008 Posted March 20, 2008 Wish i ONLY had your kind of stress in my life Quote
