I normally texas rig them. You can also use the treble and bullet weight for open water rigging. There are directions for rigging on the inside of the back of the package. The cardboard is folded in half so it's easy to miss.

I'm sorry, can't see the justice of buying a 3pack for $9. Thats $3 per bait that'll last maybe 5 fish.  Rather stick w/ Bass Magics.

What's weird is they are $3 cheaper in store at Cabelas.  $9 on Cabelas.com....and $6 in the store.  Weird...

Bass Magics were on sale at my local BPS for 2.99 a pack.

I have used both and personally will not buy another Bass Magic.  I think the Hollow Bellies are that much better.  I to laughed at the price originally but since they are almost identical to Basstrix and have a much better scent I will buy the Berkley. On the last one I used I caught 5 or 6 and it is still in pretty good shape (except for the teeth marks that is  ;) )

I like them but we just have way to many pickeral around here in our waters. I fished with them the last 2 days and went through 5 of them. But I will say they but some quality largies in my boat on Weds. When the wind was howling it was raining and the spinnerbait wouldn't put them in. I went through one in 5 casts, 2 pickeral and one largie just under 4. The head just rips so easy. I have found something better and that lasts longer already though so no more for me.

Oh you almost gave me a heart attack when I saw you had a reply to the post, thank God it was not what I thought you were going to say.

Another cheaper option is the SK Shadalicious, a buddy of mine has had good luck so far with them.

I used them for the first time last weekend under not-so-ideal conditions.  I got one hit, so I'm not giving up on them yet.  I used the hook included in the package (sharped it first!).

A note about rigging - run the hook through the nose and out the body, but stop before it gets to the weight.  Pull it out. Now push the hook eye through the bottom of the bait and out through the nose.  That way, the weight doesn't tear the nose up.

Enjoy!

Yup, and retie after every fish.  I can usually get two fish per bait doing this.  Its a pain though.  Have had them last as many as 6 fish.
