Check out jegs.com. Or you could could call your local shop and ask them wht it would cost to run 3in stright pipes with the cats. Then have have them throw on a set of glass packs. Its also might be cheaper. I have learned that you really cant here a exhaust from the cabin of most trucks unless you gun it. Were in my neon has a 2.25 inch duel exhaust and you can hear it in the cabin. But to me I really like to hear how my car sounds. It will only drown out the stero under hard boost. And no my car dosn't sound like a ricer burner. I have had many people say it sounds like a v-6

My dad's F150 with dual rear exits was around $380-390 installed. I wanna say it was the delta series. It's not that loud compared to most of the trucks here. You do notice it a little bit inside but it's not bad.

Back in the days when gas was around $1.50, I had an '85 Ford w/ a 351W.  I put the 50 series, 2 chamber on it w/ a single 3" and it sounded NICE coming out the back.  It still had the cat. converter, so it was tamed down a little bit.

I could hear it in the cab w/ the windows down, but isnt that the point of getting an exhaust system like that?   ;)

Hated to get rid of it, but 6 MPG was not the most economical vehicle  LOL

If you have headers, just get the cherry bombs that bolt up to the collectors.

You made the right choice, love my original 40 series even on my V6. But $251 is a lot, did you do it yourself?

I had a '65 Falcon with a 289 V8 that only came with single exhaust and 2 barrel carb. Put a 4 barrel on it (ran like a bat out of torment) and decided it really needed dual exhausts (Cherry Bombs). I tried to go thru the inspection station after they had burnt out. Bad Mistake ;D! The first fellow turned me down and I griped (Second bad mistake ;D). The fellow in charge came over and asked me to step out of the car. He got in and really torqued the RPM's thru the roof. Actually thought the glass in the windows was gonna break. Needless to say, I didn't pass :(...

YIKES!

Remember the days when we didn't care what kind of gas mileage we got?  I had a 1972 Chevy SWB with a 327 and a four barrel back in high school.  I'm sure the mileage on that thing wasn't much better, especially with my foot on the floor all the time.  Then again, gas was 68 cents a gallon.  Ten bucks would fill it up.   :)

I have a v8  8-). No, if i tried doing it myself the tires would pop and the doors would fall off. Im not much of a mechanic.

Do you want to put just mufflers or the entire exhaust system? The reason I ask is the prices I'm are for the entire system ranging from $450-$800 as per Flowmaster web site.
