A buddy got me eating a peanut butter and strawberry jelly sandwich with banana slices and Raisin Bran on it. I pretty much live off of them now.

Anyone else have a favorite that is a bit strange?

A Pittsburgh PA legacy is a sandwich from Primanni Brothers. Beside the original location still being open, they now have several locations outside the City.

This sandwich is on really thick Italian bread, grilled ham (or steak), and piled with cole slaw and french fries.

If your ever in Pittsburgh you just have to try one.

Hot pepper jam and cream cheese on Ritz

That's a Christmas dinner favorite in my family. I love that stuff.

After a trip to Arkansas over the summer my mom has been on the hot pepper jam on everything diet, even waffles.

Hard to find up here though.

Now your talking!

I would say my favorite is (from bottom to top) a slice of bread, two slices of scrapple side by side, then some maple syrup, then some bacon, then a big egg, then another two slices of scrapple and some more maple syrup, then the other piece of bread. Fast food burgers = Hardees jalepeno 2/3 pounder.

What is scrapple? Maybe it's a northern thing.

When I was a kid, I'd eat mayonnaise and cheeto sandwiches. I still like to put some chips on my sandwich every now and then.

I turned my daughter onto grilled peanut butter and banana sandwiches awhile back. We now have one two or three nights a week. (with a curled lip) Heeeeeeeeey!!

Post edit:  OK, perhaps not a Northern thing (after seeing Russ's post)

Middle northeast thing?

My favorite would be a low budget sandwich, stuff one low budget hooker between 2 dancers and serve hot

8-)

Question that begs to be asked WHERE'S THE BEEF?

"Scrapple" ?? :-/

Hey I never heard of it until I moved to PA, it's a local thing. Basically it's every thing but the hide of the pig after it's butchered, they crush every thing and pulveize it, add some fat and gealatin , then it is put into a cube like package, about the size of a # of butter. It's sold just like that , then fried in slices and served mostly with eggs around here like hash. I don't really like it, prefer the other crushed pig side dish: Sage Sausage with my eggs ::)

Yum yum .....

I love the very simple : Peanut butter, jelly !

But the best remains Peanut butter + Nutella

It sort of tastes like a homemade snickers....  :P
