Hey guys,

I have looked high and low for a good pair of sun glasses that would fit me well.  I have not had much luck.

The standard oakleys do not fit my head well at all (too wide/big).

I am looking for a good pair of sunglasses, maybe wire-type frames.  I tried on some wire-type Oakley sunglasses at Dicks, but they didnt fit me well either!

I bought the Costa Del Mar filament sunglasses over the winter time, but they did not fit me that great either (starting to see the pattern? lol).

I am looking for some help!  Please let me know what kind of polarized sun glasses you guys like that i should look into.

Are you saying you have a small head?

I wouldn't get a wire framed pair. You want them to fit closely to your face. You don't want the sun to get behind them. It will make site fishing or seing into the water difficult.

I have a pair with an elastic strap instead of ear peices. I love them.

I have oakley's and I love them. Have you tried the Half Jackets? they seem to fairly tight. Or even try the Asian fit by oakley http://oakley.com/asian_fit.

they are suppose to sit better on the nose  around the head i believe The gascans fit tight to way to tight for me. Not sure what you meant by standard oakelys. also try smith optics I have tried lots of them on and they all are to small for me also native sunglasses seem to fit smaller and you cant really beat their warranty. I have tried on many sunglasses trying to find the perfect ones. hopefully this helps you out.

Did you try on multiple models of Costa's?

All the different models are designed to fit different size heads. You can find the size face it different model is suppose to fit (frame size) on their website.

According to their website the Filaments you have are Medium-Large

Yeah, both the half jackets and costa del mar filaments looked too wide and too big for my head. They also push my ears out from the way they are made.

I would say i have an average sized head...nothing small...I guess you can see for yourself...haha

I also think i like the Ray Ban Model listed here: http://www.worldofwatches.com/detail.asp?bo_products_variance_id=63645

The only problem with these is that i like the gunmetal/gray, but they arent polarized :(

The funny thing is, I might sound like I am being picky, but I am not a picky person at all, I just want a nice pair of sunglasses that fit me!

I was cursed with a very large head. When they say one size fits most. I am not included in that. I had to try on many different brands and styles before I found the ones that fit. That would be my suggestion. Go to Cabelas or BPS or wherever you can and try on as many as you can. Get ones that fit.

its ok to be picky on the equipment that you have to wear!! I bought a 300 dollar wading jacket and went fishing with it one and had to get rid of it. I looked at about 30 more jackets till i found the rigth one!! If the glasses don't and feel comfortable then wait till you find the ONES!! ;D but really take a look at some natives!!

I have a pretty big head too.  It is very hard for me to find a pair that not only are comfortable but also look good.  I fell in love with Bolle glasses available at Academy and if I am not mistaken they are made by Remington.  Check out www.bolle.com.  I wear the Parole style with an amber lense and they are awesome.  I think they cost me somewhere in the neighborhood of $90 and they came with 2 sets of lenses.  The only problem I have had is that the rubber piece that goes over the top of your ear wore out on mine after about 2 years.  I called Bolle and they sent me new ear pieces for $5 per pair.  Very helpful people even 2 years after I bought the glasses.

Those look great!  Thanks for the link.  I am going to check out the Dash SS at EMS tonight.  I also like their size chart for what types of glasses fit what sized head...that was pretty helpful!

I actually bought a pair of fox aviators, and love them. Block out a good bit of light, and still allow you to see alot. I saw a bass that i would not have been able to see without sunglasses.
