bassin_man Posted March 2, 2008 Posted March 2, 2008 The Fiancee left early because she didn't feel good. All other friends are busy. One friend is at the bar listening to a band, but why go and spend the money when needing to save for a boat when I can have a cold one here. Already cruised all fishing sights. So this is left asked what does everyone do when they are at home and bored? Hoping the snagging hooks I just got done ordering is enough to hold off the baitmonkey for tonight because I really can't afford a viscous hit on the bank account. Quote
fishbear Posted March 2, 2008 Posted March 2, 2008 Play hunting and fishing games on xbox or PS3... or work on redesigning my jon boat set up for more efficiency. Or go practice pitching and flipping to a coffee can. Quote
bassdocktor Posted March 2, 2008 Posted March 2, 2008 If you've got some weights go hit the weights. That's one of my favorites plus its a great way to clear the head. That's about the best I can think of when you can't do something fishing related. But I also spend alot of time studying too. Quote
bassin_man Posted March 2, 2008 Author Posted March 2, 2008 Just got done doing an lure by lure inventory on my main box. Surprising to find out that my shallow cranks(0-5') out number my medium(5-12') and deep(12'+) at probably 3 to 1. You know what that means Cabela's here I come! Quote

It was a story about Skeet Reese, and one of the things he said he used to do when he was a kid was: "A buddy rigged up a lure without hooks, but it had loops of 20-pound line around it. We tied them on flipping rods and would pitch the lure around bushes and under cars where neighborhood cats would hide. The cats would grab the lure, get its claws tangled in the line, and we'd jerk them out and stuff them in gunnysacks. The guy with the most cats at the end of the day one." I thought that was pretty funny. ;D Quote

Super User Raul Posted March 3, 2008 Super User Posted March 3, 2008 What to do when bored ? Easy, go fishing or go shopping on-line for tackle, it 's not quite like going fishing but it does take away the itch. Quote
