Wow guys, I had this site all wrong, I thought it was for fun and we might learn something about bass fishing along the way. I thought we might even enjoy sharing life with others with the same interests. Now I know (according to Burley) we need to pull up our panties and be all serious about this stuff.

Just one question---isn't bass fishing supposed to be light hearted and fun with a bunch of great guys???

It is for me!

LIGHTEN UP, CHILL OUT, RELAX, KICK BACK,  AND ENJOY LIFE  8-)

FFI- I've never heard "patties slapped" and that's friggin hilarious, I honestly laughed out loud.

LBH- When you reach that many posts, it's in a catagory by itself.

Seriously though, fourbizz has a good point about guaging personality. The hard part is when the people who are established forget that some people don't know them, and then wind up as the butt of a joke or are subject to some unecessary comment. It's just a matter of social grace. You would'nt walk by a conversation on the street with a couple of strangers, listen for a bit, then roll your eyes and go "......peshhh, you're an idiot." It's rude, and a good way to get hurt.

There's a fine line between playing the devil's advocate and then just being a jerk. Why argue about an opinion anyway? What's the saying about arguing with an ***hole?

While this is the best fishing forum and actually IMO the best forum going of anykind it does get old sometimes,  Not trying to be mean by saying that but just saying I take breaks from it here and there.  Sometimes it's best just to step away for a while.

And honestly I know what I know about fishing and don't really care much if someone knows more than me or thinks they know more than me.  I only have to prove things to myself no one else.

Sorry, I think you missed the point of his post. It should be fun and we should be able to learn...

Only one of your posts have been moved. You talk like it has happened more than just once. Although your intentions may have been right on, your location was not.

That's was my story today out on the water. Then I ask "WHY"! And that's why I enter Bass Resource! :)

Sorry Gene, but this thread looked like it needed hijacking. ;D

There's only one poser on this board that I know of.   And I haven't seen that Marine-sniper/war-hero/boat-mechanic/doctor-of-biology/love-machine in awhile.

Let me go on record and define myself.  I...

1)  ...have never been in the military, though I did finish 4 years fo Army ROTC in college.

2)  ...am not, and never have been, a sniper of any kind, except for squirrels or the occassional groundhog.

3)  ...am not a boat mechanic, though I've changed the fluids in my outboard, and know how to launch a boat.

4) ...am not educated in the field of biology, though I've had stuff under my fingernails that had probably had biological stuff in it.

5) ...a heavily endowed love machine that would probably be a highly paid and famous adult film star if I a) wasn't already married, and B) was already a fairly competent insurance adjuster.

OK, I lied about 5.  :(

WII glad you liked it no charge for the entertainment.

Thanks for making me feel "old" yet again.

I'm not sure where that saying comes from I think I heard my mother say it on occasion ( mainly to my brothers lol).

Maybe it is patties as in patty cake? I don't know. Ask you mother and see if she's heard it. Let me know what she says.

I take responsibility for coming across wrong at times.

I appologize to all for that.

There isn't one guy on this forum that wouldn't be welcome in my boat.
