BrockSamson Posted May 21, 2008 Posted May 21, 2008 Black is always a good color for a topwater. Quote
Super User fishfordollars Posted May 21, 2008 Super User Posted May 21, 2008 Black, Watermelon/Red, and green with a white belly. Quote
FR0G Posted May 21, 2008 Posted May 21, 2008 I like a lighter white or tan color for the belly for day use and black for night. Quote
BassinBoy Posted May 21, 2008 Posted May 21, 2008 I like all colors. Just match the water conditions. Quote
jasone Posted May 22, 2008 Posted May 22, 2008 For me, colors on topwaters lures are like the garnish on my plate with my steak. It looks nice but serves no real purpose. If you doubt that, get a black one and a white one and put them in a swimming pool on a sunny day and dive underneath. HOWEVER, I like to pick really froggy looking colors because it puts me in the right mindset. J Quote
-ebby- Posted May 22, 2008 Posted May 22, 2008 i usually use the all green original scumfrog but if not that just pick a natural colored one Quote
Super User Bassin_Fin@tic Posted May 22, 2008 Super User Posted May 22, 2008 JUST FISH IT! This is one lure that color doesn't seem to matter a whole lot! After you get a strike or two you are going to want to get every color anyways right?? Quote
