Dean Posted February 20, 2008 Posted February 20, 2008 Who will win the title this year guys? Bean Town has my vote ;D Quote
Dean Posted February 20, 2008 Author Posted February 20, 2008 I know the NBA has more fans then this.... Quote
GitRDoneIke23 Posted February 20, 2008 Posted February 20, 2008 I voted Spurs. They're my favorite but I think the Celtics will take the title. Quote
Super User Matt Fly Posted February 20, 2008 Super User Posted February 20, 2008 Its too early to make educated guess'. Too many games left and injuries may come into play. I still think the east will have Cleveland and Detriot and San Antionio from the West. I like Cleveland to win it all at this time. Quote
llPa1nll Posted February 20, 2008 Posted February 20, 2008 I like the Celtics chances only if they can stay healthy. They seem like they have been a formidable team to beat in the east. However with Kidd going to Dallas and the Spurs still having Duncan. I wouldnt be surprised that either one of those teams takes home a new title. Quote
Dean Posted February 20, 2008 Author Posted February 20, 2008 The Celtic Pride is reborn is Boston! I don't care what anyone says, no one can compete with the Celtics. Quote
ba7ss3in Posted February 20, 2008 Posted February 20, 2008 I can't hardly watch the NBA anymore. I miss the old teams. Today people get traded so much, that it's hard to stay with one team. Quote
GitRDoneIke23 Posted February 20, 2008 Posted February 20, 2008 I'm not really that big a fan of basketball. I'm tired of all the ACTING and FLOPPING done by the players!! I like the old school HARD CORE basketball. This newer stuff seems kinda wussy to me. JMO Sorry if this is a bit of topic..... : GO SPURS!!! Quote
Super User Tin Posted February 20, 2008 Super User Posted February 20, 2008 The Celtic Pride is reborn is Boston! I don't care what anyone says, no one can compete with the Celtics. :-? They are 7-2 without KG and can't beat Cleveland. Quote
michbass Posted February 20, 2008 Posted February 20, 2008 Go Pistons. Haven't watched a Pro game in forever but give me vote to the locals. Quote

They are 7-2 without KG and can't beat Cleveland. Last time I checked, 7-2 equals a 77.78% winning percentage. I wouldn't think thats too bad if you ask me. And about Cleveland. Until we can figure out how to stop Lebron James, they're going to continue beating us. But i'm sure Doc will have it all figured out come playoff time. 8-) Quote
Super User Gone_Phishin Posted February 21, 2008 Super User Posted February 21, 2008 Anyone but the Celtics. It was pretty obvious they were tanking games last year to get a shot at Oden or Durant. And then, when they fell in the lottery, I was loving it; serves them right. Then they go and bail themselves out with trades for KG and Allen.......I hope they fall flat on their faces. And I like Allen and KG. Quote
Dean Posted February 21, 2008 Author Posted February 21, 2008 Time to go watch the C's take on Golden State. Game starts at 10:30 eastern time if anyones interested. I'm thinkin about pullin an all nighter, gonna have to grab me some more Monster ;D Quote
Pigsticker Posted February 22, 2008 Posted February 22, 2008 I thought everyone knew how bad doc rivers was(a la orlando magic couldnt coach against a zone :-?) Celtics will go deep but i think Doc will choke it up even though coaches arent that a big deal unless their incompetant. anyways i love Golden state so Warriors all the way Quote
fishbear Posted February 22, 2008 Posted February 22, 2008 I think the Celtics have the best shot,, but I am just biding my time... 2 or 3 yrs... then my Trail Blazers will be stomping around as the big dog in the league, with Oden, Roy, and Aldridge.... man, it sucks to be anyone else when those 3 get it together. Can you say Dynasty !!!!!! Quote

BUCKEYEone Posted February 22, 2008 Posted February 22, 2008 Hornets! I'm not a big NBA fan, but I went to Xavier with David West ( the night of the draft he sat on my front porch eating McDonalds while we drank and played cornhole....his 'gift' lexus from his agent sitting out front) I have to root for a good guy like DW. jrhennecke Posted February 22, 2008 Posted February 22, 2008 KG gets his ring and another banner hangs in Boston!! Quote
Popeye Posted February 23, 2008 Posted February 23, 2008 I'm rooting for the Globetrotters, but then again, I don't care much for basketball:o) Quote
Super User Gone_Phishin Posted February 23, 2008 Super User Posted February 23, 2008 I'm rooting for the Globetrotters, but then again, I don't care much for basketball:o) That reminds me of a super funny Simpson's quote. Homer was watching a WWII special that showed the German airborne getting their butts kicked. He then exclaimed "Ah the Luftwaffe, the Washington Generals of the History Channel." Quote
Super User burleytog Posted February 23, 2008 Super User Posted February 23, 2008 People still watch the NBA? :-? Quote
fishbear Posted February 23, 2008 Posted February 23, 2008 Burley, I am not necessarily a fan of the NBA. However, I have been a Portland fan since 1975, and was there when Bill Walton, Maurice Lucas and company won the title in 1977. So maybe I am more of a fan of the team, especially now that they have cleaned up the bad elements that seemed to permeate the team for about 7 or 8 years. ie.. Zach Randolph now in NY,, hahhahahahhaha Isiah is a sucker for that trade. So to answer your question, I watch my team, but do not follow the NBA in every aspect like I used to back in the day. Quote
