Officer was motorcycle cop.     Reports that I have heard said he has passed.

Toughts and prayers with officer, family, and fellow LEO's.

Not much footage being offered here in Dallas.

DALLAS A veteran Dallas police officer escorting Sen. Hillary Rodham Clinton's entourage to a rally in Oak Cliff Friday morning lost control of his motorcycle and was killed.

The accident happened on the Houston Street viaduct around 9:20 a.m. The Kawasaki 1000 Police Special motorcycle apparently hit a concrete abutment.

HD Chopper 8 pilot Troy Bush, who flew over the scene shortly after the incident, estimated that the officer had been thrown about 20 yards by the impact after apparently hitting a railing.

The victim was rushed to nearby Methodist Medical Center. The name of the officer, who has been part of the Dallas force since 1988, was not released.

Chief David Kunkle was seen arriving at the hospital shortly thereafter.

Last year, a police officer was killed while escorting a motorcade for President George W. Bush in Albuquerque, N.M. There was a similar fatal crash involving a presidential motorcade in Hawaii in 2006.

NOTE: I'm so sorry for his family!!!

Thats too bad. And it's the 3rd time!

When I heard the words motorcade and Dallas in the same sentence there was only one thing I could think of.

You know how stories goes.    Our first initial report led us to believe it was assination attempt.

Not much news is coming out thus far.     I didn't see a baracade for the cop to hit unless it was on the side of the street and its been moved already.

Darn, I hate when this happens.

So sad.

And Hillery cancelled her rally due to the accident.

Dear God, I Miss My mommy

My mommy is a policeman, she wears a suit of blue;

she didn't come home from work last night,

daddy says she's in heaven with you.

I'm worried about my mommy Lord,

she's never been away this long before;

daddy cried when he told me we that wouldn't see mommy no more

I don't know what it was that daddy was trying to explain;

he said the police were after a bad man, and somehow my mommy was slain.

Now I don't know what that means Lord, all I know is we miss mommy a lot;

because tomorrow is my birthday, and I sure hope she hasn't forgot.

Lord if my mommy is up there in heaven, please tell her as soon as she is free;

to hurry back home as fast as she can, because we miss her, daddy and me.

A policeman was killed last night.

He died while protecting your rights.

His creed was to protect and serve.

This fate he didn't deserve.

A mom and dad have lost a son.

So many other jobs he could've done.

His wife and kids are left alone.

Their daddy won't be coming home.

His fellow officers are hurt so deep.

For a fallen brother they weep.

The morning paper will print a story.

About a policeman who died in glory.

The flags will fly at half mast.

Politicians and citizens will seem sad.

The funeral is tomorrow at noon.

It will all be over very soon.

By next week they will have forgot.

That a policeman was killed last night.
