BUCKEYEone Posted February 18, 2008 Posted February 18, 2008 I just got out of the Army in July and decided at the last minute that we wanted to move back to our small hometown, so with good jobs hard to find, I took a job running a highschool in-school suspension program. I actually dont mind the job of keeping kids in line, but the pay is awful. I am in the process of applying for the job of our Red Cross chapter disaster/emergency services coordinator, and as a volunteer I know this would be a great career with plenty of rewards...keep your fingers crossed for me! Ballpark Frank Posted February 18, 2008 Posted February 18, 2008 I am a nuclear power plant assistant unit operator. I am currently back in training to get my Reactor Operator license from the NRC. I am in month 2 of an 18 month program. I am studying most of my day and night, other than a little time with the family and a post or two. The good thing right now is I am on 4-10 days with weekends off. Studying sucks, but beats rotating shifts anyday. Quote
