Super User Sam Posted February 15, 2008 Super User Posted February 15, 2008 OK guys, NASCAR starts off its 10-month series on Sunday with the Daytona 500. Who do you think will win the race? With Junior on a new team; Rainbow Warrior really wanting to get the Sprint Cup Championship; Martin being back at it; Johnson still showing signs that he is equal to last year; and Hamlin looking very good, it should be a good race. Maybe Stewart will pull it out unless he is wrecked. By accident, of course! Quote
Big T Posted February 15, 2008 Posted February 15, 2008 Earnhardt looks impressive. I want a Toyota driver to win it. Therefore, I guess I'll take either Hamlin or Stewart. Do not under estimate Waltrip or Johnson either. And as far as I concerned, Gordon can blow his engine up on the first lap. ;D Quote
Super User cart7t Posted February 16, 2008 Super User Posted February 16, 2008 Those plate races are pretty much snoozers but I'll keep one eye open watching for the wrecks. Rooting for Montoya but really could care less who wins. Quote
bassmasta7 Posted February 16, 2008 Posted February 16, 2008 Earnhardt is my favorite so I am picking him plus he has daytona figured out. Without picking my favorite driver, I would say stewart gets his first daytona win. Quote
crazy4bass1 Posted February 16, 2008 Posted February 16, 2008 gordon all the way earnharts not even guna finish this race, he will go out with engine trouble or somthing like he always does Quote
Big T Posted February 16, 2008 Posted February 16, 2008 gordon all the way earnharts not even guna finish this race, he will go out with engine trouble or somthing like he always does Wow if I was a Gordon fan, I would not want Junior to have engine trouble because if he does more than likely all the Hendrick cars would have engine trouble. These guys all get their motors from the same shop. I have seen in years past that if one car on a team has engine trouble, then the rest follow the same fate. Quote
=Matt 5.0= Posted February 16, 2008 Posted February 16, 2008 gordon all the way earnharts not even guna finish this race, he will go out with engine trouble or somthing like he always does I'm saving this quote for Sunday night. Not an Earnhardt fan by any means, but someone may be eating their hat after the race. Quote
Popeye Posted February 16, 2008 Posted February 16, 2008 Mikey W gets #3:o) (although I'd love to see Mark Martin finally win the 500, especially after that heart-breaking loss at the tape) Quote

I met him once at his car dealership in Batesville, my dad went up there to look a truck and he happened to be there. I also met him at AMP race event (I can't remember which track) that my cousin was racing in. He's a real class act. Quote
