Super User Redlinerobert Posted February 13, 2008 Super User Posted February 13, 2008 I went a little nuts while in Mexico and bought a few pair. Here's my boots wearing Russ. I mean Russ wearing my boots. ;D Quote
Super User roadwarrior Posted February 13, 2008 Super User Posted February 13, 2008 Very nice. Did you have them made? If you have had them before, I'm sure you don't need any advice, but cowboy boots often stress the foot arch. I would HIGHLY recommend Dr. Scholl's inserts with a hard plastic support. They make the boots soooo much more comfortable. p.s. You should have weighed him with the boots on, he might have broken 100 lbs! 8-) Quote
Super User David P Posted February 13, 2008 Super User Posted February 13, 2008 Looks like Russ found a new style! Looking goooooood! Quote

Russ wanted to put on my western hat too, but I thought that would be a bit over the top... ;D Quote
WIII-60 Posted February 13, 2008 Posted February 13, 2008 Nice boots. I'm not one for exotic skins, but they look great in the picture. I have a pair of Frye's that are about 15 years old. Hand me downs. Probably the single coolest pair of shoes that I own. Terribly uncomfortable. Quote
BassResource.com Administrator Glenn Posted February 13, 2008 BassResource.com Administrator Posted February 13, 2008 Semantics - they're called "Western Boots" and "Western Hats", not cowboy whatever. And yes, I used to own a few pairs until I wore 'em out riding horses. I don't ride anymore, even though I still want to. Quote

dave Posted February 13, 2008 Posted February 13, 2008 I have a pair of front cut boas that I haven't worn in years. (feet get fatter when the rest of you gets fatter) 11 1/2 D if anyone would like them for a third of what they cost. Quote
Super User .ghoti. Posted February 13, 2008 Super User Posted February 13, 2008 Do I wear western boots? No, but after Tin called me a "guido" in another thread, I may have to look into a pair. I know just where that pointy toe will be applied. ;D ;D ;D ;D Quote
Guest muddy Posted February 13, 2008 Posted February 13, 2008 Nah if Tin called you a guido, you need to be rockin some Gucci Gator Skin Shoes 8-) Quote
Super User Tin Posted February 13, 2008 Super User Posted February 13, 2008 No I figured GHOTI, GOTTI. That sort of thing lol, it was just the first thing that popped in my head whenever I saw your name. Redline, hope you got a hat and a car with t-tops along with the boots to complete to Bandit look. Super User .ghoti. Posted February 13, 2008 Super User Posted February 13, 2008 I knew what you meant, Tin. Just yankin yer chain. OOPS, Mike's gonna be all over me now Quote
FishingBuds Posted February 14, 2008 Posted February 14, 2008 yep, 6'1" with my boots on partner They don't make them like they use too :-/ Quote
Popeye Posted February 14, 2008 Posted February 14, 2008 Nah, I wear Eastern boots. I think they're called Asics (from the FAR East:o) Quote
Low_Budget_Hooker Posted February 14, 2008 Posted February 14, 2008 I'm 5'7",....Wearing "western" boots just makes it look like I'm trying too hard,.....I watched my (older yet shorter) brother make that mistake once, lol Quote
The Unabasser Posted February 14, 2008 Posted February 14, 2008 i can understand 1 pair but seriously 4 pairs of boots lol...are there certain days of the week assigned to each pair? I still think that pic of Russ should go on the Hot or Not website Quote
Guest muddy Posted February 14, 2008 Posted February 14, 2008 Those boots look pretty funny wearing Russ Quote
Fisher of Men Posted February 14, 2008 Posted February 14, 2008 I've always kept a pair of Justin ropers to wear to church and wherever, although I wore out some Red Wing pecos boots back in high school (jeans tucked in and sleeveless Panhandle slim western shirts; I looked like a redneck bigtime). Now I have a pair of black bullhide ropers (keepin' it simple) and don't wear them very much at all. The kind that get on my nerves are those flat toed ones that all of our MS and HS boys are wearing. They look flat retarded. (oops, hope none of you guys wear them. . . just thinking outloud) :-[ Quote
Hookem Posted February 14, 2008 Posted February 14, 2008 Just wondering.... You got exotics in Mexico and got them across the border how? Now its been a while since I crossed at the border towns down here, but the last time there were a few newbies that bought some exotics and tried to cross at the border check and not allowed to bring them back across. So, just wondering...... I wear old Noconas! 8-) Quote
Super User roadwarrior Posted February 14, 2008 Super User Posted February 14, 2008 i can understand 1 pair but seriously 4 pairs of boots lol...are there certain days of the week assigned to each pair? There are seven days in a week! Quote
