Super User Sam Posted February 13, 2008 Author Super User Posted February 13, 2008 I listened to about an hour of testimony today and it was extremely interesting. Which guy to you think has the most creditability? This should be interesting, especially now that the FBI has the needles and bandages with DNA on them. I guess this is what happens when you link up with a sleeze ball. Quote
Fish Man Posted February 13, 2008 Posted February 13, 2008 anyone think that in the next couple of months or this year we will hear about more great using steroids even if they are retired or still playing,,,,it would break my heart to find out somone like Cal jr was using them Quote
Guest muddy Posted February 13, 2008 Posted February 13, 2008 Cal Jr doesn't look like a WWF guy in a baseball uniform. Quote
Super User Tin Posted February 13, 2008 Super User Posted February 13, 2008 You will also see some issues with the Mitchell report. For example, no current Red Sox were listed (Gagne was shipped off a few weeks before the release). And Mr. Mitchell has some "connections" with the Sox. Coincidence? Quote

Super User Grey Wolf Posted February 13, 2008 Super User Posted February 13, 2008 Here's my take on the whole thing....... A while back for school (it was like the 6th grade) I did a book report on an biography about Roger Clemens. In that book I remember one of his teamates, I think he was with the Blu Jays at the time, was AMAZED at how much he "punished" himself during his workouts. He recalled one piece of equiptment the had in the gym. The Guy's called it the MOUNTAIN. Most guys would get on it for 25-30 mins. and stop. Clemens would get on there and keep going for about an hour every time. Sweat pouring down his face, This guy WORKS everyday!! His workouts are the most strenuious of most any athlete out there! Also about the bandgages and all that CRAP that's going around, Why would anybody save thoose things for 8 years? I'm sure McNamee thought that in 8 years Roger Clemens would be under a Federal investigation regarding steroids, and figured he'd save it just in case. ;D ;D (*Sarcasm mode off now*) I've stuck by Clemens from the beggining and I'll stick by him till the end. It'll be intersting to see how it all pans out. Do you think Petite lied ? Quote
CJ Posted February 14, 2008 Posted February 14, 2008 I found, what I saw of the hearing, comical. I think Roger is lying too. I bet SNL tears it up Saturday night. Quote
Fish Man Posted February 14, 2008 Posted February 14, 2008 clemons needs to learn english too, how many times did he try to make up words?am i the only one thta noticed? Quote
Super User Matt Fly Posted February 14, 2008 Super User Posted February 14, 2008 McNamee was a proven liar when he was a cop. That fact was brought out today. Any evidence he has is tainted and won't stand up in a court room. Still say Roger is lying, but so is the other guy as well. Anybody notice the Dems pounded Roger, while the Rep. drilled McNamee. Party lines were evident. Quote
Super User Sam Posted February 14, 2008 Author Super User Posted February 14, 2008 Matt, I listened to the hearing on XM radio today and I agree with what you are saying. I had no idea of the party affiliation of the Congressmen but that may explain the questioning. Thanks for sharing. Quote

Don't try and make this some kind of political agenda issue when its about steroids Research this: It is physically impossible fot the human head to get larger after a person hits 35 years old. IMPOSSIBLE, yet forensic photographers have shown that Palmero,Canseco,Sousa, Bonds and McGuire, and Clemmens heads all grew after age 35, THE ONLY SUBSTANCE THAT CAUSES THIS IS HGH So they aint pickin across party lines, and I am sorry if someone actually has the audacity to have a Texas Cheater in the cross hairs. Guest muddy Posted February 14, 2008 Posted February 14, 2008 Thats not the only part of her body thats likely to grow Quote
Guest muddy Posted February 14, 2008 Posted February 14, 2008 I lived throguh , the mound being lowered, the strike zone being tampered with, lights at Wrigley Field, livley basballs, the Strike, warnings for pitching inside and an owner masquerading as a commish : but I gotta tell you THIS STEROID CRAP MAY BE THE THING THATS DRIVES ME AWAY FROM THIS GAME I LOVE SO MUCH! Popeye Posted February 14, 2008 Posted February 14, 2008 muddy: ya's means she's a shemale like Hilary?? Quote

nboucher Posted February 14, 2008 Posted February 14, 2008 THIS STEROID CRAP MAY BE THE THING THATS DRIVES ME AWAY FROM THIS GAME I LOVE SO MUCH! Don't let it, man. The game is better than any of this garbage. It will survive if we keep eye on what matters: the action in between the baselines. Baseball survived the black sox scandal and it will survive this. If anything finally kills it, it will be greed of owners & players. Quote
Guest muddy Posted February 14, 2008 Posted February 14, 2008 I'm Feeeling Norm , whatis very troubeling is no one seems to be talking about the pressure on the kids, trying to break into the pros to juice, We have seen it rear it's ugly head in HS Football and now I am fearing it will trickle down to HS Base Ball. If anything finally kills it, it will be greed of owners & players. Baseball ended for me with the World Series strike, although the Rockies run did tweak my interest for a fleeting moment. I doubt I will ever be a true fan again. Major League Baseball stinks from the head down. But as bad as the current problems are, it's the financial set-up that bothers me most. Unless you are a fan of the "Money Teams" your hopes of winning it all are slim. A league that has such huge discrepancies is compensation is absurb. Level the playing field or have Boston and New York play 162 games against each other! :'( Quote
Tokyo Tony Posted February 14, 2008 Posted February 14, 2008 8-5 Clemmens is lying I'll lay 5-1, seriously :-? Quote

That's because the Bean Town Sox don't cheat. This would be correct....cheating is reserved for the football team in Bean Town My opinion is Mr Rocket has misremembered taking the juice. Just an opinion. And how about some of the congress clowns grandstanding....I watched the whole thing and frankly was digusted by all parties with the possible exception of the guy from Mitchells crew who was questioned. This mess aside I still enjoy baseball and the NY Yankees. Always will, my feelings for the game and my team transcend some unsavory characters who have tainted things for a period of time. I sincerely hope this will serve as a wake up notice to all that own, manage and are employed by MLB that they owe the youth of this country better than this. Quote
