Super User Sam Posted February 9, 2008 Super User Posted February 9, 2008 Robert, I thought you would be a "Viper" kind of guy. I was told that the Viper is the only pace car in the history of the Indy 500 that did not have to be modified to be the pace car. And I was at the race and let me tell you that that Viper could really move out. It was something to see and appreciate. Quote
tkite16 Posted February 9, 2008 Posted February 9, 2008 They had the new vette and camaro at our plant the other day got to sit in both 8-). I will very seriosly consider the camaro when it comes out. I just finished redecking and recarpeting my boat and was really getting anxious for spring fishing. Well my boss came out of team meeting Wednesday and told us they may put our plant on an emergency production plan where we work 12 hours a day 7 days a week for 90 days starting in March because the new Malibu is selling better than they planned. So I may not fish till June :'( Quote
Popeye Posted February 9, 2008 Posted February 9, 2008 I recently sold my Shelby COBRA 427SC replica to help me afford my mini-farm in Indiana. 351 Cleveland from a Pantera, 400HP pushing around a 2200 lb car is SCARY. The Cobra was faster than my 600 HP 1969 Dodge 426 HEMI SuperBee 4 spd, but not by much (HemiBee weighs around 3800 lbs) Both cars gather(ed) a lot of attention whenever I drove them anywhere, BUT the Cobra was such an "in your face, don't mess with me" kinda car that I really liked it. I lament having to sell it, but alas, I wanted a place to live in while FISHING in the Midwestern states! IF I should ever win the LOTTO, I'd buy another one in a heartbeat. I've also owned several Corvettes. Awesome looking cars as is the one that is shown in this thread:o) Quote
Chad. Posted February 9, 2008 Posted February 9, 2008 If you get the 997 gt2 right now i know a tuner thats been getting some wicked high numbers pair that with some ohlins gemballa kit and some other suspension mods. Personally if i was a baller like yourself I would buy a limited white and black gt3rs 997 with carbon ceramics leather/carbon fibre recaros, take it to the track and it will eat any lambo short of a lp640. bassdocktor Posted February 9, 2008 Posted February 9, 2008 Catt I've seen pictures of that car before and I think its quickly becoming my reminder of why I need to get into and finish pharmacy school. Quote
Super User Catt Posted February 9, 2008 Super User Posted February 9, 2008 Yea I love the black out look Quote
bassdocktor Posted February 9, 2008 Posted February 9, 2008 I don't know if you are a Dodge fan or not but in person the new Challenger is very impressive. I saw that yesterday at the auto show and it looks alot like the original. I was really disappointed it was roped off so you couldn't sit in it. Quote
Popeye Posted February 9, 2008 Posted February 9, 2008 bassdocktor: I've been a MOPAR fanatic since 1964!! I've owned 'Cudas, Challengers, Road Runners, GTX's, Chargers, Furys, RT's, SuperBees, you name it, I've probably owned one:o) Sitting in my garage is the Dodge I've had for the past 10 years. It is a 1 of 92 built 1969 Hemi SuperBee coupe with a 4 spd. I love MOPARS and have always thought that the Dodges were built way better than the Plymouths! Quote
bassdocktor Posted February 9, 2008 Posted February 9, 2008 Popeye sounds like quite the list of cars. Over the last few years I've been looking for something to redo but at the same time learn how to redo. I've looked at quite a few of the cars you mentioned but, they never seem to be wroth what the people want especially since the cars are missing quite a few parts. Along the lines of the SuperBee they had the Charger SRT8 SuperBee at the autoshow too. Coolest part was that it had the bee on emblem on it. Quote
tipptruck1 Posted February 12, 2008 Posted February 12, 2008 The new dodge challenger looks sweet. Dodge said it would cost 40,000 dollers. ITs a clone of the oringal challenger from the past. http://www.dodge.com/en/2008/challenger/ Iam just gald some one got a trowback car right. The new camero is butt ugly. And the charger what was never a 4 door. Redline I read about the new nissan. Depending on were you live you will get the skyline or the g35. The dealer will be able to pick what you get. I also hear the engine is so touchy that you cant even a cold air intake with out screwing up the computer. Quote
GitRDoneIke23 Posted February 12, 2008 Posted February 12, 2008 Always liked the vettes!!! This one is pretty good!! Quote
