No, not really.  The technology doesn't change much, but the shells do.  There's always a different type of shell being introduced, such as the aqua shell (it lands on water and then goes off). The computer program gets better every year, but that's expected.

Doesn't mean it's better though.  This year the Space Needle show didn't fire due to a computer glitch.  I was laughing in my living room. LOL.  Glad I don't do that show anymore.

About the only significant "new" thing in "technology" is how Disney fires their shows.  They don't use a lift charge to fire the shell up.  They use compressed air instead.  It makes placement of the break very precise.  Obviously, this can only be done for permanent shows.

This is "new" by pyro standards.... it came out about 10 years ago.  The "technology" doesn't really change much.

The other reason I look forward to spring. Sometimes I can't wait so when a 50* day comes along in January I take advantage of it.

I didn't realize how many Brothers of The Road were on these boards; I took mine out yesterday, spring is taking too long to get here

I really enjoy playing disc golf.  I got into it in college.  My alma mater has an 18 hole, championship caliber course right on campus.  Lots of woods too.  They even offered disc golf 1 and 2 for one PE credit.

As far as organized extra curriculars, or leagues, I've played darts(cricket), softball, and bowling.

I ran cross-country in college.  I also enjoy reading, hunting, camping/hiking, making candles, golfing, gardening, and splitting wood.

We heat our home with wood in the winter, and I actually enjoy splitting/stacking the wood; weather it be with a wedge and a sledge, or a gas powered splitter.

Also, we go all out for Halloween. Our front yard is really something that time of year.  We build most of the props ourself (electric chair, guillotine, hangman's scaffold, etc.). This is pretty much a year-round project.  So I'm always scouting for new material, or designing new goulish props.

Softball is my other "hobby" as you can see ;D Most of them are for investment purposes (you'd ne surprised the money thats in bats) and the other half are my gamers. But it seems like the bats are deminishing and my rod and reel collection is growing for some reason ;)

Music - my first love.

Don't play as much as I use to, hardly at all compared to once upon a time. Was hoping to make a career out of it, but, some things are more important (see avatar). Great thing about this "hobby" was that I made pretty good money at it - nothing better than doing something you enjoy (would even do for free) and getting paid for it. However, 2 weeks into a 6 evenings a week, 2 matinees on Saturday, 8 week theater run makes you wonder if the contract was really worth it.

Name it, and I've probably played it at some point over the last 20+ years - classical, rock, jazz, fusion, etc.

The bass in the middle (sitting in front of the amp) is a custom made Keith Roscoe bass. The first time I saw this "bass" it was a chunk of wood - literally, the bark was still on the slab. 8 weeks later Keith gave me the best bass I have ever played or heard in my life.

Nice Instruments Ej, when you came to BASS RESOURCES, were you thinking it was about music or fishing?

HA! Good one, Muddy. Either way, it works for me - bass or bass!

I was heading North on I-65 in Alabama last Saturday and a Gold Wing that same color was heading South. I could see that bike forever. It really impressed me that the color stood out so much.

I have entirely too many hobbies, so I have cut back on some.  I still do a lot of bicycling and my garage is full of woodworking equipment which I actually get to use once in a while.

My other hobbies include...

Fishtanks- I have discus and another tank of African Cichlids

Hiking

I also used to be a health and exercise nut.  I worked out 6 days a week, 2 hours each time.  I got into powerlifting for about 2 years and decided I was getting to old for all the abuse my body went through plus I need to be home with my family.  I used to weigh in at 194-197.  I could bench around 375-400lbs, squat 500-600lbs and deadlift around 500-600lbs.  The sad thing was, I would get smoked all the time in meets.  Just in case, I was natural (steroid free) and so were most of the people I competed against.  They had strict testing.  I always get a kick out of people who took them.  You either got it or you don't.  What it takes is patience, genetics, knowledge about your own body, and lots and lots of good food.
