Zel Posted February 7, 2008 Posted February 7, 2008 I build Bean Bag Sets for friends and family. Bean Bags (different game then Corn Hole Toss which is popular in the midwest) is a family picnic game popular in this section of PA. Several years ago my wife complained because she had looked around and couldn't find any of the old quality type of sets from many years ago, only the cheap crappy new varieties. She tracked one down in Philadelphia that a relative had and got the dimensions from a set that was about 50 years old. When I started building them, I originally made them with PA Dutch Hex Signs, but stopped making them that way because everyone wanted custom designs Phillies, Flyers, Eagles, Norte Dame, Nascar, Clowns, Air Force, Penn State, Red Sox, etc. I build the sets and make up the stencils, and my wife hand paints everything with 3 coats of paint (can you say overkill), and she also makes the bags. About 15 hours of work goes into every custom set. Quote

Super User Redlinerobert Posted February 8, 2008 Super User Posted February 8, 2008 I almost forgot my other hobby/passion, fine tequila! I have close to 100 different types in my home bar, just added two more that I bought today here in Leon, Mexico. My favorite? Asombro 11 year. Oldest tequila you can buy on the market right now, bottle was a gift to me from the owner of the company, Ricardo Gamarra. It's an ultra premium tequila that retails for $1,100. Quote

Rattlinrogue Posted February 12, 2008 Posted February 12, 2008 My second favorite hobby is playing guitar.I started when I was 8 years old and I'll be 50 in May.I play a red Stratocaster and a black Les Paul that I just bought 6 months ago.I also own 4 or 5 old no name guitars that I mess around with.I was given a 40+ year old Harmony ax that really sounds good after I replaced the pickups. It is a good one for playing blues fingerstyle.
