Super User Gone_Phishin Posted February 10, 2008 Super User Posted February 10, 2008 Believe it or not, some pats fans feel CHEATED. No, you're not dreaming, some pats fans feel cheated. A petition has been started by pats fans to have the NFL review the last 1:40 of the Super Bowl. They claim that the clock should not have stopped after Brandon Jacobs' 4th and 1 conversion. These fans fail to realize that A). Fox's clock is not the official game clock, and . it was an official timeout for a measurement, and soon as the ball was spotted, the refs did a great job of restarting the gameclock. The funny part is, after the final 1:40 is reviewed, it's revealed that the pats should have had 29 seconds at the most on their final possesion, not 35. This just really irks me. Of all the teams wanting a review of game tape, it's the pats. How deliciously ironic. I want to preface this last commentary by saying that I am not singling out any pats fan here on the forum, rather these crybabies who started this petition. Grow up children!!! You had no problem cheating in the past. Then, after being penalized by the league, running up the score on almost every team you played: going for it on 4th down, up by 21, with 1:14 left to play, then denying you were running up the score. After being beaten FAIRLY by the Giants, you can't accept defeat and want the game to be reviewed? Check Belichick's personal video library, he might have what you're lookin for. You had no problem celebrating three recent Super Bowl victories, but now that the table has turned it's a different story. Face it, you got outplayed, outcoahed, and outclassed. Peroid. Anyways.......here's a link to that pathetic petition. I honestly do not think it's official, as an email address is not required. The reason I'm posting the link is because so many Giants fans and patriot-haters have signed it, and it's hilarious. I've got to give a WARNING though, there is a lot of adult language on this petition. http://www.petitiononline.com/mod_perl/signed.cgi?XLIItrut Quote
