Super User fourbizz Posted February 3, 2008 Super User Posted February 3, 2008 Who else couldn't care less about the Super Bowl? That junk bores me to tears. Super Bowl Sunday used to be dedicated to goose hunting for me, but since I'm out here, that doesn't really work anymore. I just don't get the fascination with watching sports I guess. I have never understood people who live to watch other people play. I will watch NCAA basketball occasionally, but that is it. Quote
Low_Budget_Hooker Posted February 3, 2008 Posted February 3, 2008 Right there with you Bizz,...I'll play anything but watching is boring.. Quote
Super User grimlin Posted February 3, 2008 Super User Posted February 3, 2008 Something to kill time i guess.... Not the biggest sport fan either, but i tend to keep up with it for some reason.I don't get all wackied out. Honestly if i could be out fishing right now i would be... ;D.I'd have the whole lake to myself. Quote
Super User Tin Posted February 3, 2008 Super User Posted February 3, 2008 With all of the BS surrounding "SpyGate" and now about destroying tapes and the Pats supposedly video taping the Rams practice the day-before the Superbowl, I have really lost interest in it. It's just sad. I will probably be sleeping before half-time. : Quote
mattm Posted February 3, 2008 Posted February 3, 2008 I'm a pretty big sports fan, but I could care less about the Superbowl this year. As a cowboy fan I hate the Giants, as a human I can't stand Eli. If anybody gos 19-0 I want it to be the Cowboys. So i'm stuck with no rooting interest which is pretty boring. If I didn't have to work today I would of just gone fishing. Quote
Jake P Posted February 3, 2008 Posted February 3, 2008 Im a big fan of football until my team got knocked out of the playoffs. I usually watch the superbowl but i could careless this year, i hate the giants and hate the pats so i dont care who wins Quote
Jake. Posted February 3, 2008 Posted February 3, 2008 This year I don't care much. I just want the patriots to lose. Quote
Super User Catt Posted February 3, 2008 Super User Posted February 3, 2008 Super Bowl Sundays usually meant I had the lake all to myself but since I sold my boat I'll be watching this one. Quote
moby bass Posted February 3, 2008 Posted February 3, 2008 Huh? Is there some kind of a game today? Don't know (or care) anything about it. Quote
Super User Redlinerobert Posted February 3, 2008 Super User Posted February 3, 2008 Yaaawwwwwwwwwwwnnnnnnnnn Quote
Low_Budget_Hooker Posted February 3, 2008 Posted February 3, 2008 Super Bowl Sundays usually meant I had the lake all to myself but since I sold my boat I'll be watching this one. Yup, was a great day for skiing. Lots of Jewish folks would ski on Christmas for the same reason,...noone there. Quote
BassResource.com Administrator Glenn Posted February 3, 2008 BassResource.com Administrator Posted February 3, 2008 This year I don't care much. I just want the patriots to lose. I'm right there with you on that. That plus I'd like to see the NFC win. Really the only reason I'm watching is for the commercials. Quote
tipptruck1 Posted February 3, 2008 Posted February 3, 2008 I will only watch the super bowl or a bowl game if my teams are in it. As for racing gos I will eatch nascar. But I really only have it on for back ground noise. But I will watch f1, le mans type racing, road racing, rally racing, and corr truck racing. I rember last spring when the 24 hours of le mans and the us grand prix were the same weekend. I ended up watching like 30 hours of racing that weekend. Quote
Super User fishfordollars Posted February 3, 2008 Super User Posted February 3, 2008 Super Bowl Sundays usually meant I had the lake all to myself but since I sold my boat I'll be watching this one. OMG... Catt...You sold your boat??? Tell me your new one is on order... Quote
Super User .dsaavedra. Posted February 3, 2008 Super User Posted February 3, 2008 i really dont care about the superbowl or who wins. i dont like watching or playing sports. just not for me i guess. Quote
frogtog Posted February 3, 2008 Posted February 3, 2008 I like NCAA Basketball and I like to watch Monday night football. I hear that next year you will have to pay to watch the NFL so say so long to me. Ain't going to pay. : Quote
tipptruck1 Posted February 3, 2008 Posted February 3, 2008 What do you mean pay to watch the nfl? Quote
Super User Micro Posted February 3, 2008 Super User Posted February 3, 2008 When I was a kid, my dad made me watch every game with him. He'd turn on a game, and when a commercial came on switch the channel to another game. I got to where I hated sundays, monday nights, and some thursdays. Now I only watch football occassionally. I do like watching other offbeat sports - like x-games type sports. I like boxing and watching skating, and other olympic type sports. I do like Super Bowl commercials, though. Quote
NAILER Posted February 3, 2008 Posted February 3, 2008 ya no big deal good time to get boat ready for spring Quote

I rember last spring when the 24 hours of le mans and the us grand prix were the same weekend. I ended up watching like 30 hours of racing that weekend. I am right there with you, I'm getting sick of NASCAR since it's not even about the racing anymore, more of a 3 hour commercial. Basically I'll only watch the Busch series and Truck series. But I love watching F1 and CORR racing. Lately I've gotten into the Australian V8 super car series and any Rally racing, some of the best racing I've ever seen... Quote
Super User burleytog Posted February 4, 2008 Super User Posted February 4, 2008 I hate the Patriots like Arnold Palmer hated the yips. Of course I'm watching. Quote
Mobydick Posted February 4, 2008 Posted February 4, 2008 I'm with ya'll. I didn't even know it was superbowl sunday till about an hour ago. I woke up and took my nephew hunting for coyotes and crows today. Then shot some bow with my buddy. I don't get excited about football like everybody else does. I only have one channel on the antenna anyhow. But I don't care, because I only watch it once in a great while. Quote
KYbass1276 Posted February 4, 2008 Posted February 4, 2008 Yep I agree I couldn't give a rats rear end less about any sports let alone the superbowl. You could give me tickets to the best seats there and I would hock them on E-bay to some moron who's willing to go in dept just to see a bunch of overpayed drug addicts and criminals make more millions for themselves. It's cool if thats your thing but not for me. I spent the evening coyote hunting too No seat is better than the one in mother natures stadium. and the players I compeating aginst are all natural Quote
skillet Posted February 4, 2008 Posted February 4, 2008 Man, I've got even more in common with quite a few folks on the forums than I thought. It was always HARD to admit in a group of most folks. I'm asportual .. As Ever, skillet BTW Seriously, can't remember the last time I watched anything on TV Quote
