Nah I am on this myself, contacting the owners and host of various sites this &^*@# is on. It is not right to register there to just chase him and mess up their site. I did that once already, and its not the way to handle it I have his email address so I started a little write in campagin: WHAT I SENT BASSHUNTER69

Robbed tackle and other products from some of my closest friends by faking illness and hardship, while living in a very upscale area

You have ripped off Russ's copyrighted stuff

You have lied, misrepresented and cheated all who come near you. Including Bobby at Mega strike

I PROMISE YOU THAT I WILL CONATCT EVERYONE I KNOW< ON EVERY SITE I CATCH YOU ON< TO EXPOSE THE TYPE OF SLUG YOU ARE< UNTIL YOU APOLOGIZE< TAKE DOWN THE COPYRIGHTED STUFF AND RETURN WHAT YOU HAVE STOLEN VIA MISREPRESENTAION TO THOSE WHO YOU VICTIMIZED. I WILL DO THIS LEGALLY AND CONSISTENTLY

Hey Sirs: My name is Dominick, on BassResource.com aka MUDDY MAN; There is a member on your forum BASSHUNTER69, who has scammed many of our memberss for all sorts of things, faking illness and hard times. We are a very giving bunch of fellas overthere, and he took advantage of this. He has also ripped oof my friend Brents Comapany logo ( ***) as weel as some copyrighted itmes from RUSSS aka Low Budget Hookers. I do not want to disrupt the great atmosphere on your site, just want you to knw what kind of a 9can't use the wrd man) fool this guy is

I think he shut down his e-mail.  I sent him an e-mail offering him a forum to issue a public apology, but it was undeliverable.  I cc'ed Bobby at MegaStrike on the e-mail hoping that he could get my contact info to him.  I hope the guy takes me up on my offer

Muddy, Most of the forums he is a member of already know about him. I contacted them last week. This includes BassFeed. Some choose to keep an eye on him and others have banned him. He will have a hard time publicly apologizing on the forums that he has been banned on. The only way he will be able to do that the right way is to email the owners and ask them first. But I don't think he will do this because he doesn't think he has done anything wrong.

I was the one who investigated him when he first started asking for free stuff. I was the one who gave the go ahead on giving him the stuff he needed. I feel responsible for that. I guess this is why I am so set on not letting this happen to other fishing forums.

I still believe that he is an unemployed 38 year old deaf guy living with his parents. He has all the antisocial traits of a person who has been sheltered his whole life. But with all that time on his hands instead of overcoming his disability and finding his place in society he has chosen to hide behind his computer and deceive us with his lies. That's fine if he wants to do that because, as you can see, it is coming back to bite him in the ***.

For all the young people following this saga there is a lot you can learn from this guy's choices. Remember that one of the most valuable things that you possess is your integrity. It is worth more than anything when it comes to getting through life successfully. Your integrity is also the easiest thing to loose. Be honest in all your dealings even when nobody's looking. Be honest to yourself. Do what you say you are going to do and do it to the best of your ability. Don't lie to get ahead because it will eventually put you farther behind.

Be selfless like those who freely gave of their time and tackle. They are the examples that we should follow. They are the reason this site has become what it is today. The world is full of a lot of horrible people. It is great to have a place that is full of the highest caliber of people in the world.

Excellent post Fluke.  I agree with your assumptions of him 100%.  I hope the young people reading this post take to heart what you said.  We are involved in a great sport/pastime.  It happens to be one where "fish stories" are somewhat a right of passage.  However, just like anything else there are lines that must not be crossed.  Adding a few oz. to a fish is one thing, but intentionally lying to harm others is inexcusable.

I wouldn't blame yourself for issuing the go ahead on people giving this guy stuff.  One you didn't make anyone do it.  Of course, I know you already realize this.   More importantly it speaks volumes that you checked into before isssuing the go ahead.  It is not your fault that Bass Resource was one of the first sites this guy started scamming.  You had very limited info to go on.

I think that making an association between the physically disabled and anti social behavior is a subtle form of predjudice. (even though well intended)

I have advanced degrees and made a career of working with the physically handicapped and I can assure you that I have never seen ANY study that links deafness with being a thieving con artist.

Let's not play junior psychologist or generalize the behavior of this pus person with the struggles of the handicapped.  They have enough stigma to deal with.

Yea, I probably should have separated those two sentences. They are two totally different thoughts from two different experiences I've had with him.

He originally told me the story of him being deaf and living with his parents and collecting Social Security. I still believe that to this day.

But as I got to know him through his post I realized that he didn't possess certain social aspects. He had the same traits as my niece and nephews who have been home schooled their whole lives and never had any friends outside of the family. Let's just say they don't know how to make friends. I understand as I hope everyone else does, that these traits can apply to anyone who has never had the chance to socialize properly.

It's what ticked me off the most....I grew up deaf as well and this guy is giving us a bad name.I've worked hard all my life for everything i've earned,and if somebody gave me something i did my best to give something back.

I despise this guy!! Which is why i don't feel one bit pity toward him what so ever.

I'm glad my parents didn't baby me and allowed me to stand on my own two feets.
