I have been using Strike King Premier Plus, and the SK Bleeding series for the last few years.  They are good quality and pretty inexpensive.

I fish both strike king and booyah and I have been nothing but very happy with both including there buzz baits as well.

Hank Parker's Classic (3/4 oz) and Hart's Shaker (3/8oz).

Yea, I forgot about the Hank Parkers Classic. I have caught a ton of fish on them. They are great spinnerbaits. I have a bunch of white tandem indiana blade 1/4oz ones that are fish catching fools.

If you have a Gander Mountain store near you, they carry spinnerbaits called Guide Series that are made by Strike King. I have bought some of those for $2.99 and they are well made baits.

I now make build my own...each bait costs me less than $2.00 plus I can build them to exactly how I want them.

BOOYAH! Funny name, serious baits!

My favorite colors are the silver shad and the golden shad! they run around $3.99 each.

Good luck! 8-)

Strike King used to be my #1 spinner and buzz bait choice, but I find the quality on even there top of the line models to be total crap. I have inthe past 2-3 seasons been switching to Booyah and they are now my #1 choice for this type of lure.

For $3 - $5, I like Booyah first and Strike King second.  So far from the posts, these look like the favorites in this price range.

Eric is the best and he has good prices and you can totally customize your baits, if you need a odd or funny color notorius to your region just ask and you will recieve!  I just got some Talipia colored blades in and thet are sweet!  I ordered a dozen in all blade configs for all conditions.  Can beat a dozen custom blades shipped to your door for about 65 bucks!

Thanks for all the brand name suggestions.

I am thinking of the following configurations for most lake fishing conditions:

1. 1/2 oz w/ willow leaf blade

2. 1/2 oz w/ colorado blade

3. 1/4 oz w/ tandem willowblade

I was going to start off with a white / chartreuse combo as I am learning to use spinnerbaits.  I have read that is the most popular.  I also will get a dark color combo for some nighttime fishing.   Any other combos I should be looking at.  I stuck to the top 3 to keep the bait monkey to a minimum.

3/8 booyah double colorado white chartreuse with silver and gold blades.there are only 3 colors you need in spinnerbaits.white or white black silver  combos that look like shad,white/chartreuse and chartreuse.these colors will catch bass anytime a spinnerbait works.3/8 is the most used size.

No, well, I hope he isn't. The blades are the key to the spinnerbait, and the skirt color is secondary. Willow leaf blades are designed for flash, and colorado blades are for vibration. Indiana blades are a great mix of the two. If the water is clear, lean towards the willows. Dirty water, move towards the colorados. Then adjust the weight to put the lure in the strike zone at the speed you want to run. Then get the skirt right. Just my best guess... I've never used a spinnerbait before.  ;)

I have just started getting into Bass fishing more and trying to add a spinnerbait to my arsenal.  I read a couple of books and articles during the winter and the spinnerbait has been, hands down, the most mentioned and recognized lure for searching an area for fish.

The only confusing thing is if a single or tandem blade is better when going through some cover.  I have read opposing opinion.  One expert says a single is better while another says a 2 blades help cover the hook better.

I understand the basic differences in blades.  I may just go go load up on some Booyahs and Terminators.  Also, given that most places sell willow/willow and colorado/willow tandem, I may just opt for those.

Heck, I got a buddy who only throws the $1 spinnerbaits from Wallyworld and he swears by them.  I got some for the kids and if they outfish me with my Booyahs and Terminators then I will switch!
