Super User roadwarrior Posted January 28, 2008 Super User Posted January 28, 2008 Super Bowl XXXII, Green Bay Packers vs. Denver Broncos: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Super_Bowl_XXXII I think this Sunday's game has the same potential for excitment and drama. 8-) Quote
Super User Matt Fly Posted January 28, 2008 Super User Posted January 28, 2008 Dallas vs Pittsburg was two good ones. I like the RAms vs Titans, good game that came down to one foot line with time running out. The Carolina vs pats game came down to FG from Vinateri, last team with the ball won that game. Been some good ones, and some yawners. Quote
Super User roadwarrior Posted January 28, 2008 Author Super User Posted January 28, 2008 I like the RAms vs Titans, good game that came down to one foot line with time running out. Mano mano. The perfect pass to exactly the right guy, exactly where the Titans wanted to attack the goal line. Offensive receiver vs. defensive back. Man-to-man, head-to-head. Who wants it more? The most exciting finish of any Super Bowl and perhaps the second greatest play of all time, ranking just behind The Emmaculate Reception! 8-) Quote
Super User SPEEDBEAD. Posted January 28, 2008 Super User Posted January 28, 2008 Sorry Glenn.... Super Bowl XL for me, just because Jerome Bettis got to go out in style. Quote
Super User senile1 Posted January 28, 2008 Super User Posted January 28, 2008 The Rams vs Titans was fantastic, but the 1991 match up between the Giants and the Bills was great too. New York won 20 - 19 when Norwood's 47 yard field goal for the win, sailed wide with only a few seconds left. This was the beginning of the string of 4 lost Super Bowls by the Bills in the 90s. Quote
llPa1nll Posted January 28, 2008 Posted January 28, 2008 Hello!?! Are kidding me the 2001 Patriots vs the Rams (Greatest Show on Turf), nobody gave them a chance. I mean even John Madden was telling them to take a knee and wait for OT. Brady charged down the field and let #4 kick the GW FG. CLASSIC GAME!!! Quote

Big T Posted January 28, 2008 Posted January 28, 2008 My favorite superbowl was in the 80's not sure the number, following the 1987 season, I believe. Washington vs Denver. Denver jumped out to 10- 0 lead at the end of the first Quarter, The Redskins scored the next 42 points. I beleive 35 of those were in the second quarter. T. Quote

Super User Tin Posted January 28, 2008 Super User Posted January 28, 2008 Bronco's and Pack or Pats and Rams. Best football games I have ever watched. Quote

Big T Posted January 29, 2008 Posted January 29, 2008 Those were the days. I still remeber the Monday night game in 1985 when the original LT, Lawernce Taylor broke Joe Theisman's leg. I still cannot stand that guy nor the Giants. I do not care if he did go to UNC, I still can't stand him. ;D T. Quote

Super User roadwarrior Posted January 29, 2008 Author Super User Posted January 29, 2008 Super Bowl XXIV was tough for Bronco fans. We knew going into the game that our chances were slim, but no one was expecting the Joe Montana/ Jerry Rice Spectacular! Those boys ran a crossing pattern that Denver could not cover which lead to a whooping like no one had ever seen. I don't think any team in NFL history could have beaten the 49ers on that Sunday. Super User senile1 Posted January 29, 2008 Super User Posted January 29, 2008 Hello!?! That was the year that the Patriots played Oakland in an AFC divisional playoff game with lots of snow. Brady went to tuck the ball and the ball was knocked loose resulting in a fumble which Oakland recovered with under two minutes left to play. The officials ruled that he was attempting a forward pass and it was incomplete, even though the replays showed it was obvious he was tucking the ball. The Pats score on that drive tied the game and sent it into overtime. Without the blown call they wouldn't have been in that Super Bowl. Quote
