Masshole Mike Posted January 24, 2008 Posted January 24, 2008 anyone know how they determine how much each person gets back? Quote
Popeye Posted January 24, 2008 Posted January 24, 2008 $600 per person who earned more than $3K and paid taxes in 2007 up to $75K and $1200 per couple who earned more than $3K in 2007 up to a combined income of $150K and $300 for anyone who earned less than $3K and didn't pay any taxes. At least I think that's the way it's going to work out. Yeah, my wife and I may end up breaking even this year. Better than having to send out a couple of thousand. Quote

Better than having to send out a couple of thousand. i just read up on this on msn.com, sounds like a pretty good deal to me. although skeptics are saying that while this will soothe the economy, it will only be temporary, and that by late 2008 we'll be right back where we started. Tpayneful Posted January 25, 2008 Posted January 25, 2008 It is $600 for me, $600 for my wife, $300 for first child and $300 for second child for a total of $1800! It took them a week to get the deal done but for some reason checks will not go out until June. The first thing that jumped into my mind was GIANT FLAT SCREEN TV! The second thing was Humminbird 919si....SIDE IMAGING sonar! More than likely it will go into the savings account to pay for my wife's college tuition :'( Quote
Super User Long Mike Posted January 25, 2008 Super User Posted January 25, 2008 Jasone, how could this thread be ruined? It's just a bunch of guys chatting about a possible windfall. This may come as a surprise to you, but this is a public forum. Within acceptable limits, any member is allowed to post on any of the forums on this site. and they don't have to be a member of a Clique to do so. I'm very sorry that someone ruined one of your earlier threads. You must have had something very important to share. But I'm getting off topic. I'm going to use my windfall to replace the tires on my boat trailer. Quote
