Big T Posted January 22, 2008 Posted January 22, 2008 I use to love wrestling as a kid. This was back in the days of the NWA . My favorites were Wahoo McDaniel, Jay Youngblood, The Fablous Freebirds, The Road Warriors, The Rock'n Roll Express, Dusty Rhodes, Paul Orndorff, Rick Flair, the Andersons, Roddy Piper. Many more that I can't remember at thsi point. T. Quote
bassdocktor Posted January 22, 2008 Posted January 22, 2008 I still love wrestling. I've always been a fan of wwf/wwe, wcw when it was around and now tna. Its stupid alot of times but its a good way to be entertained when I need a break from studying. Our church and school will be having a wrestling event fund raiser that is gonna have the guy who was formerly Doink the clownalong with Kip James/Billy Gunn. It'll be pretty cool cause it looks like I'm gonna get to pick them up from the airport. bassdocktor Quote
Super User Tin Posted January 22, 2008 Super User Posted January 22, 2008 I just miss Stone Cold Steve Austin. 8-) Quote
crazy4bass1 Posted January 22, 2008 Author Posted January 22, 2008 has any one herd about john cenas new movie coming out? since he ws able to film a movie, does this mean he faked his injury. I dont understand ahy he would give up a wwe title, to make a crappy movie. I guess its lyk the rock leaving the wwe to be a movie star by the way stone cold was the best ever, period "arrive, RAISE HELL, leave" -stone cold steve austin Quote
Popeye Posted January 23, 2008 Posted January 23, 2008 I used to watch the WWF all the time when my daughters and sons were young. We'd all sit and watch the Wrestlemania events together on Thanksgiving day while my wife slaved away cooking dinner. I won 4 tickets to a WWF match here in San Diego on a radio contest and when I took my daughters we were so high up in the bleachers/cheap seats that the wrestlers looked like midgets. My daughters were so disappointed that I bought row 2 ringside tickets the next time the WWF was in town and we got to see Hulk Hogan and Roddy Piper as a tag-team wrestle Rick Flair and someone who's name I can't remember. I bought the girls the big foam Hulk fingers and all!! It was a lot of fun and certainly entertaining but quite expensive. Haven't watched wrestling since the kids grew up and lost interest in it. Tokyo Tony Posted January 23, 2008 Posted January 23, 2008 does this mean he faked his injury. I dont understand ahy he would give up a wwe title, to make a crappy movie. Isn't it all fake and predetermined? Quote
Masshole Mike Posted January 23, 2008 Posted January 23, 2008 i haven't watched since it was called the wwf. it's never been the same since the days of the macho man, roddy piper, jake the snake, hulk hogan (before he turned evil, then good, then evil, then good, no wait he's really evil pretending to be good, oh no, he's actually good, now he's bad...), the junkyard dog, andre the giant, THE ULTIMATE WARRIOR!, etc. it's nothing more than a soap opera for dude's now. might as well be called "as the world wrestling federation turns..." stone cold was pretty rad though, drinkin beer and smashin stuff all the time. he was fun to watch. Yes, the outcomes are predetermined, but the in-ring action is anything but 'fake'. If it were fake, most wrestlers wouldn't be hooked on painkillers. Quote
