clipper Posted January 21, 2008 Posted January 21, 2008 Authentic Georgia Red Neck! Descended from Dutch, Irish, English, Cherokee, and Scotch (we're thrifty). Been here since before Revolutionary War. Someone traced the family tree back to Henry VIII and decided he better stop before he found anything else. Quote

Oscar O. Posted January 21, 2008 Posted January 21, 2008 As far as i know there is no one that i have met so far in my life that is half-mexican and half-chinese! If you take a looksee at my sig you will notice that i am a Chexican (creative isnt it? )... I came up with this some time ago and that is what my friends say if someone asks about my ethnicity (i don't even have time to answer the question myself! lol) Also i am not too sure what to put on the tests that ask what your ethnicity is, i cant pick more than one, but i am not really other... oh well i guess it will haunt me forever! One of my good buddies in college was half Chinese and half Mexican. I had a nick name for him. Homey Hong Kong. Thats a good one! ;D My mom is from Hong Kong so people might end up calling me that instead of just "The Chexican" 8-) Quote
Guest Steve_P. Posted January 21, 2008 Posted January 21, 2008 I was born in the Kibaki region, 100 miles SW of Kenya's capital, Nairobi. My family survived by weaving various types of clothing out of a combonation of Lion hair and Elephant dung and then selling it to unsuspecting tourists. In 2000, I fled Kenya due to intense tribal fighting between Kikuyu and Luo tribes. Machetes and slingshots were the weapons of choice. I arrived in America and spent my first three years panhandling underneath the Dorth Hwy/I-69 overpass in Flint, MI. In 2003, I decided to move to FL and buy a Bassboat. I quickly discovered the joys of being in a boat and fishing for Bass. I loved the idea of NOT having to worry about Hippo attacks in FL. This was always a threat in my native Kenya. Although there was no threat from any maneating Hippos, I quickly learned to ALWAYS avoid Licoln Town Cars with NY or NJ plates down here in FL. Why? Because of something way more dangerous, way more unpredictable than any wild animal back in my homeland of Kenya......................... The dreaded "Jersey Style Pimp Turn"!!! That's when a Town Car with NJ plates decides that they want to turn right from the far LEFT lane and cut against 5 lanes of traffic!!!! Anyways, life here in FL was going great.......but then I met this dude on a fishing message board and my life has become a mess. Strange things have started happening to me but I won't bore you with details. You're probably wondering why I appear White in my avatar pic, right? Well, doctors say I have 50/50 disease. The top half of my body is White, and I'm Black from the waist down. Well, I may come back on in the future and share some interesting stories about my long, hard journey to FL and discovery of the joys of Bassfishing WITHOUT Hippos. But, I've suddenly got the urge for a piece of Cheddar cheese AND I have to take a leak. Later!! Quote
tipptruck1 Posted January 21, 2008 Posted January 21, 2008 Iam a little bit of every thing. Scotish and English on dads side. German, Irish, and dutch on moms side. PaparockArk Posted January 21, 2008 Posted January 21, 2008 There is part of the family tree missing because my father's mother's side of the family is unknown other than they were supposedly rich, from Dallas and her last name was Davis (Long story). The parts of the family I know of are Irish, English, and there is a lot of American Indian in the family tree. Quote
fish-fighting-illini Posted January 22, 2008 Posted January 22, 2008 I think I'm partialy pacific fleet and part USO tour! Quote
KYbass1276 Posted January 22, 2008 Posted January 22, 2008 I'm not really sure on mine I think I remember someone at a reunion say something about being Irish or English I don't remember now. I consider myself american. One thing I think is neat though is reading the responses from members whose family came in through Elis Island. Wouldn't it be neat if they could be here now and see what kind of life you made for yourselfs. If I recall my history corectly Elis Island wasn't a pleasant experiance nor was NY city for immagrants. Talking about stress we probally couldn't even begin to imagine what is was like for them. I know it sounds kinda stupid but the stories they could tell though. Just amazing or atleast it is to me. Quote

They settelled in Anniston Alabama and sometime in the 1850's migrated to Texas. One of my grandmother's(Have no Idea how far back) kept a daily diary from the early 1700's when they came over on a sailing ship. It was a 39 day voyage. Written in the old english version. It is on loan in a museun in Nacogdoches, Texas(The oldest town in Texas). Quote
