Super User Sam Posted January 14, 2008 Super User Posted January 14, 2008 Great news! The Packers can handle the Giants. I think the Packers would have had their hands full if they played the Cowboys. I think the Packers will make it to the Super Bowl. Remember, the greatest play in the history of Ole Miss football and Eli falls on his ***. (LSU 17 - Ole Miss 14) The same think will happen up in Lambeau. And Peyton, like his dad, goes home after another failed attempt at a championship. Quote
Super User grimlin Posted January 14, 2008 Super User Posted January 14, 2008 Giants beat the cowboys....which packers failed to do so last time they played them.Don't count the giants out just yet. I'm a big packer fan...so i'm rooting all the way. However pats. scare me...nobody has ever had a perfect record and these guys are doing it.They are unstoppable right now. They've pull out of every trouble in every game.Only way these guys are gonna lose if brady starts making mistakes and i don't see it happening soon.Having good receivers help too. I am close to being right though i picked pats against either cowboys or packers in superbowl. Now i can confirm since cowboys are out packers chances are even higher. Quote
BassResource.com Administrator Glenn Posted January 14, 2008 BassResource.com Administrator Posted January 14, 2008 Would it shock y'all if Farve wins it all Not at all. As I said before, and I'll say it again: the winner of the Seahawks/Packers game will go on to win the Superbowl. Quote
Super User SPEEDBEAD. Posted January 14, 2008 Super User Posted January 14, 2008 Tony ****'s playoff legacy gets another brick! ;D if sleeping with jessica simpson and carrie underwood make you a **** then i wanna sign up ;D 65 million, Jessica and Carrie, and McBurly is jeaous. look whos named after a Clown Mc Donalds. LOL Romo the ****, your too funny. Come on Folks, dish it up, I got 5 Super Bowls to brag about!!! Winning Franchises have away of doing that. 13-4, and where did your team finish the season? Ya'll hookem, fishing season is on. Matt 5 looks pretty good on this side of the country too That should have been my team losing to the Patriots on Saturday!!! ;D Quote
Fish Man Posted January 14, 2008 Posted January 14, 2008 Tony Romo is good but he has got to be one of the most overrated players in the nfl Quote
Super User Tin Posted January 14, 2008 Super User Posted January 14, 2008 In the middle of the season who would have thought that Eli would lead his team deeper into the playoffs than Peyton would. : Quote
Cajun1977 Posted January 14, 2008 Posted January 14, 2008 eli actually had a good year, it was a big step for him this year with tiki off the team and bashing him in the papers, it was a make or break year for eli im happy for him,hes still a louisiana boy Quote
Super User 5bass Posted January 14, 2008 Author Super User Posted January 14, 2008 Favre is the man. Just ask John Madden. Quote
Masshole Mike Posted January 14, 2008 Posted January 14, 2008 being a lifetime pats fan i'll agree that it doesn't mean anything if they don't go 19-0, but there's still a lot to be said for a perfect regular season. Quote
Super User Matt Fly Posted January 15, 2008 Super User Posted January 15, 2008 The Giants road record speaks for itself, and so does Eli's stats on the road. The Giants are 9-1 on the road this year, their only loss was in Dallas. I wouldn't mind seeing Farve win it all if he would retire, trouble is, he probably thinks he could repeat. Hookem Quote
jb_from_texas Posted January 15, 2008 Posted January 15, 2008 Tony Romeo should have stayed in Dallas last week, instead of fyling to Mexico with Jessica Simpson. I glad Dallas lost, could not have happened to better team. I do not understand the Cowboys. Here is a team that signed Terell Owens, the same guy that spiked the ball not once but twice on the star at Texas Stadium when he was with San Fran., now they love him. I guess money is more important than pride. who says we all love TO in Texas? As with ANY team in the NFL, you can tolerate anyone that produces for your team and despise that same guy when he plays for another team. I mean who really likes Moss except for Pt fans? Quote
Fish Man Posted January 15, 2008 Posted January 15, 2008 i dont dislike moss.i dont like him as a person but as a player i dont care who he plays for hes good Quote
Super User burleytog Posted January 15, 2008 Super User Posted January 15, 2008 Rock Hudson ran with women too... Quote

Hookem last week brett said he more than likly will be back another season .... so i highly doubt he is even thinking of hangin it up ..... last season every one said brett should retire hes old and lost a step .... didnt anyone learn the man is a legened and he will retire when hes ready not when we say he should .... if he makes it to the bowl i bet he winns .... im sorry to say it but the cowboys had no chanch aganst the pats .... the packers have a defence built to get after brady ,,, and thats all it takes ..... nuff said Quote
Super User Matt Fly Posted January 15, 2008 Super User Posted January 15, 2008 Brett is due a good year, he's had a whole bunch of lack luster years. Even heard many a Pack fans wish he would retire years back. I just know, that I have never seen a QB endure the career he's had. Sorry baseball fans, with the contact in football, I'd have to say Bretts record means more than Cal's iron man record in baseball. Maybe good thread, Cal vs Farve? Quote

Apples to Oranges dont really think you can compare MLB to NFL. I do see where you were going with the comparison though. I just think they are 2 totally different to compare other than both players were Ironmen in each of the own sports. Also to Mike bat if Dallas had no chance against the Patriots, Dallas beat Green Bay, and the Patriots beat Dallas. shouldnt that say something right there? Before I look ahead, The Chargers are up next for my team, or whats left of them. I know Gates isnt playing, anyone hear the condition of injuries to LT and Rivers? Go Patriots!!! Quote
Super User Tin Posted January 15, 2008 Super User Posted January 15, 2008 I just can't believe TO was crying, like Parcell's and other coaches have said, he lives for attention. : But that doesn't mean i wouldn't having him on my team. Quote

Super User Matt Fly Posted January 16, 2008 Super User Posted January 16, 2008 mike, I am no Giants fan. But if you think the Giants are scared of ya'll or your weather, your in for a long playoff day!!! Eli's stats have been better on the road all season long. 9-1 on the road. Beat Tampa in Tampa, and beat Dallas on the road as well. Only loss on the road was opening day in Dallas. Thats nine in a row. And the Giants last loss saw them take NE to the limit. They aren't scared. By the way, both defense have played good down the stretch. Who wins the ground war? Wins the game providing the don't fumble. I look forward to listening to hit on the radio while I'm prefishing!! Won't hurt my feeling if Farve win the Super Bowl. Problem is, he wouldn't retire, he'd go for repeat!!! Quote
mike bat Posted January 16, 2008 Posted January 16, 2008 i dont believe the packers are too worried .... dont get me wrong ,,, i know the packers are olny focused on this game .... i believe this game will come down to the running game also ..... bolth defences are proven tough so at this point the real decider will be the running games ...... grant is a great runner ,,, i dont believe he will have trouble picking up the yards needed .... this is where its nice to have brett as your QB ,,, he brings your offence to that next level ..... brett makes plays where other QBs would just throw it away .... then you still have our steller reciving core all 5 .... this game may be tough for green bay ,,, as long as we fire on all cylinders we will advance to the bowl .....
