Super User 5bass Posted January 14, 2008 Super User Posted January 14, 2008 Whew! I'm glad thats over with, I work with the 2 loudest Cowgirls fans there are and they've been shooting their mouths off all year. Tomorrow will seem like I've got the whole place to myself! Thank you Giants! Go Packers! Quote
Super User grimlin Posted January 14, 2008 Super User Posted January 14, 2008 giants made it a whole lot easier for green bay. Quote

Big T Posted January 14, 2008 Posted January 14, 2008 Tony Romeo should have stayed in Dallas last week, instead of fyling to Mexico with Jessica Simpson. I glad Dallas lost, could not have happened to better team. I do not understand the Cowboys. Here is a team that signed Terell Owens, the same guy that spiked the ball not once but twice on the star at Texas Stadium when he was with San Fran., now they love him. I guess money is more important than pride. Quote

Masshole Mike Posted January 14, 2008 Posted January 14, 2008 haha, nah i got it, hence the "i'd assume so" comment. rarely do my eyes wander that far north to investigate, but every once in a while. Quote
Super User Gone_Phishin Posted January 14, 2008 Super User Posted January 14, 2008 We couldn't be happier here in Cheeseland. The extended forcast shows a high of 11* next Sunday, and the NFC plays the late game. Going to be very difficult for NY to get a W at Lambeau. It would be very nice to see the Lombardi Trophy come home again. Quote
mike bat Posted January 14, 2008 Posted January 14, 2008 GO PACK GO now i live in green bay ,,, so yes im a big packers fan ,,, however today i was a giants fan ..... well untill they won the game .... back to the packers ..... if we can beat them giants were heading to the bowl .... Quote
Super User roadwarrior Posted January 14, 2008 Super User Posted January 14, 2008 Well, unless your team lost, this weekend's playoffs were some of the best football I've seen in years. Dallas seemed to be the only team that played "uninspired" ball and I don't understand how that can happen. Everyone else played their guts out, the winners and the losers. "On paper" I didn't think the Giants had much of a chance and San Diego was forced to play with one hand tied behind their back. There is no way the Chargers could have won that game, on paper! Packers? With the exception of Brett, they look awfully thin, but they find a way to win. Playing New York in the Frozen Tundra looks like a gimmie, but nothing can be taken for granted at this point. San Diego has "no chance" against the Patriots...Hold on! The Fat Lady isn't singing, yet. Good luck to all of you that still have a horse in the race. Forget about the odds, anyone can win at this level of play. I wish you all the best of luck! Go Broncos! : 8-) Quote
Super User Matt Fly Posted January 14, 2008 Super User Posted January 14, 2008 The Girls did just fine this year. WE didn't end the season on a 7-9 season. Reality and history has showed that rookie QB with minimum experience don't take teams very far. How far did San Diegos QB take them last year, or how long did it take Peyton to get the playoff monkey off his back? Reality!!!!!! I'm disappointed, but didn't expect to win it all this year. I wanted to, but reality kept my feet grounded. My boys have two first round draft picks. Eli has taken alot of carp over early in his career. Seems, he's taken the first steps like his brother did, and just about in the same fashion as well and time frame. I'll give Romo a few more years in the league. I know we didn't win anything, but we also wasn't setting at home when the playoffs started!!!!!!! Hookem, Fishing season is officially commenced!!! Quote
Masshole Mike Posted January 14, 2008 Posted January 14, 2008 romo is a decent QB, i just think he needs a few more games under his belt, and along with some more playoff experience he'll be stepping up his game in seasons to come. and RW, the fat lady hasn't sung yet for the chargers, but she's been warming up the vocal cords and is walking out on stage as we speak. GO PATS! 19-0 here we come. Quote
Siebert Outdoors Posted January 14, 2008 Posted January 14, 2008 I did my happy dance when the cowboys lost. I did the flip the bird to the tv when the pats won. I wanted the ravens to win so bad. Quote

Super User Tin Posted January 14, 2008 Super User Posted January 14, 2008 I'm with you on that one Cajun. Thank you Giants! Heard it on the radio today that a NYC radio station had a Jessica Simpson look-a-like contest and the winner was given tickets to fly to Dallas and seats right behind the Cowboys bench. Hopefully this curse will last 86 years. Quote

Super User roadwarrior Posted January 14, 2008 Super User Posted January 14, 2008 I had my Cowboy's hat on yesterday. I thought that after twelve years I might get to wear it twice this year! BTW, You guys still have the best cheerleaders in the league! : 8-) Quote

Ya'll hookem, fishing season is on. Matt My team is still going strong at 17-0 ;D I have allot of respect for Tony Romo I think its only a matter of time before he makes that step and becomes a force to be reckon with in the playoffs. I dont think however it will be under Wade Phillips as a coach. One thing that I did laugh my butt off at was T.O.'s post game press conference where he was crying like a 12yr old girl. Now that was funny. Quote
Masshole Mike Posted January 14, 2008 Posted January 14, 2008 My team is still going strong at 17-0 ;D that's what i'm talking about! not to mention the record-smashing season brady's been having. he just broke phil simms' post-season single game completion % record on saturday. Quote
Fisher of Men Posted January 14, 2008 Posted January 14, 2008 Tony ****'s playoff legacy gets another brick! ;D if sleeping with jessica simpson and carrie underwood make you a **** then i wanna sign up ;D "Slept with these women". I think it's wrong to assume this, although it might be likely (or fun to dream about from our standpoint). Was I glad the 'Boy's lost? Sure, it will be much easier for the Pack to win at home. I do, however feel bad for Romo and all the crap he's going to have to put up with. I think, considering his past with these women, that he made a poor decision to go on the Mexico trip. He should have seen it coming and stayed home. Not being a cowboy fan, I will however give them props for a great season. They have alot of talent, and Romo will get better with experience. I DO however think that much of Dallas' and Green Bay's success this year is due to the fact that the rest of the NFC is sub-par. As other teams make trades and sign new players, they will improve. I have to agree with Roadwarrior. It's all been pretty exciting, and will continue to be to the end. Quote
Super User Catt Posted January 14, 2008 Super User Posted January 14, 2008 Would it shock y'all if Farve wins it all Quote
Super User roadwarrior Posted January 14, 2008 Super User Posted January 14, 2008 Well, if "shoulda, woulda, coulda" was counted, the Boys might have put a hurt'n on the Giants. At least two touchdowns were dropped, plus a few first downs that MIGHT have lead to scores. However, games are won or lost ON THE FIELD! I think New York's victory is another reminder that on any given day, anyone can win. BTW, I'm not dissing the Giants, with the way they played under pressure, they deserved the win. New England may be "The Greatest Team of All-Time", but they don't get consideration unless they finish 19-0! If you're not betting, odds and spreads mean nothing. It's a "W" or "L" and that's all that counts. Quote
