BassResource.com Administrator Glenn Posted December 29, 2007 BassResource.com Administrator Posted December 29, 2007 Another year has come and gone, and what a great year it's been! Lake Fork, slow site, ICAST, server upgrades, and new forums. PHEW! It's been a busy year, with the forums seeing the largest growth ever seen! The forums are now seeing 500-1000 messages posted per day. By comparison, we had less than 300 messages posted on the old forums for the entire summer just 4 years ago! The growth is a direct result of "Everyone" here. All of you sharing your years of knowledge and being friendly to all of those that share the same love of bass fishing. I am simply blown away by how much this site has affected so many people in such a positive manner, and it's all because of you. I can only take credit for providing a place for everyone to meet. But it's nothing if folks don't participate. You all make that happen, not me. You give it heart and soul. I'm delighted this site has helped you, and honored you've stayed. So many intelligent, polite, helpful, and insightful people here....I'm humbled you've chosen this site as your "hangout". And to the mods - what a crew! I never dreamed such an amazing dream team could exist!! I can't tell you how much I appreciate everything you do here. You guys are phenomenal!! This site, these forums, have become far better than anything I ever imagined, and it's because of all of you here. So a heartfelt Thank You to everyone for your help making this site what it is today. Here's looking back at a great year, and looking forward to even better and great things! Quote
Super User Gatorbassman Posted December 29, 2007 Super User Posted December 29, 2007 It's amazing what has happened in the last 365 days. The site has grown by 4200 members. I am always astounded at the caliber of members we have here. Every one of you guys and gals are great. BassResource wouldn't be the same without each and every one of you. Just look back on what has happened with ya'll this year. Members giving back to their community Others supporting the caring endeavors of others Young members winning their first tournament Life long friendships formed Growth of character for many of us Many of you catching your first bass Many of you catching a new Personal Best And the list goes on. To see how you make each new member feel like an instant part of the family makes me proud to be a small part of it. It is a blessing every day to be a part of the Mod Squad. These guys are great. We may not always agree on things but in the end we make a decisions and that's it. We stand behind it and continue to be friends. This comes from our love for this site and the good things it brings to each of you. BassResource is slowly becoming a big part of bass fishing and the next year can only be better. I can't wait to meet many of you at our Guntersville Road Trip. Be safe and keep your lines wet. Thank you for a great year. Fluke Quote
Super User 5bass Posted December 30, 2007 Super User Posted December 30, 2007 Another year gone by. It's really nice to log on and see new members signing up every day and also see the veterans are still here chewin' the fat, tellin' stories and sharing info. We are all happy to have you guys and gals as part of the family here and hope 2008 brings you many more good times and that your lines stay tight. Thanks alot for coming to BR to hang out! Be safe and have a Happy New Year! Scott Quote
Low_Budget_Hooker Posted December 31, 2007 Posted December 31, 2007 I copied this from my "2007---->2008" thread: Well, we have seen some considerable growth here this year. We see this every year but this yr seems to have given us quite a few very active newer members. With 2007 coming to a close, I just wanted to take a second to say "Thanks" to all the new folks for choosing BR. As the family grows, our connections and contacts Grow. We learn more and we make lots of new friends. So a general "Welcome Aboard" is in order. I look forward to meeting all the new family members that 2008 brings us but also look forward to seeing many of you 2007 guys becoming senior members. Thanks again for making BR your home Quote

John J. Posted December 31, 2007 Posted December 31, 2007 This site has been very helpful for me as a bass fisherman. I came to this forum not knowing a single thing, but since I spent about two years on this board and read the articles, I've learned a lot. Now granted this year, things have been a little rough concerning me and some past mistakes, but I am greatful that the future is ahead and new memories can be made. I am looking forward to starting the '08 fishing year as I head out for my new PB! I would greatly like to thank Glenn and the mods for making this site as enjoyable and informative as it is! Keep up the great work, I know many countless hours of work and time has been put in keeping this board up, running and enjoyable for all members! God bless all! Quote

Super User Jimzee Posted December 31, 2007 Super User Posted December 31, 2007 I have met a lot of cool people on here the past year from all walks of life. Funny how I see the same type of people every day and not think twice about walking by without speaking. It has made me realize how much people are alike on the inside. I have also learned a great deal from a lot of you guys on here and most of you don't even realize it. So many people being helpful and caring. You just can't beat this place. Glenn and the Mods....a BIG THANKS!! If I keep all this mushy stuff up I'm going to have to change my avatar, and that's not happening!! Okay, back to the tough guy. Quote
