Super User Sam Posted December 29, 2007 Super User Posted December 29, 2007 Yes, what you have is all over the country. I have had it for two weeks and have taken Calritan and a cough syrup but to no avail. My wife wants me to go to see our family physician but so far I am just letting it run its course. She has the life insurance policies lined up on the kitchen counter so I think she really wants me to go to the doctor. Maybe after the first of the the year if it does not get better. If you do go to a doctor let us know what he says so we can do what he tells you. Thanks. Quote

I told the doc that I was starting to get a sore throat and runny nose. He said take some CALRITAN and I'll be fine. Yea right! So much for the Calritan. Quote
Super User Catt Posted December 29, 2007 Super User Posted December 29, 2007 Thank you Santa; I've had the same thing since the day after Christmas > Quote

slomoe Posted December 29, 2007 Posted December 29, 2007 I just got over this, as well as my girlfriend and ALL of my co-workers. Take some tylenol sinus NIGHTIME right before bed. It help me get through the night like you wouldn't believe. Dries you up, and knocks you out. Quote
maxke01 Posted December 29, 2007 Posted December 29, 2007 Nyquil nighttime gel caps Has still sick but its knocking the stuff right outta me Quote
Super User grimlin Posted December 29, 2007 Super User Posted December 29, 2007 Wanna know how i'm preventing it from getting to me? Eating raw garlic and onions and putting it in everything i eat. Eat some chicken noodle soup with chopped up really fine garlic cloves and i'll bet that throat and nose will be cleared up or feeling much, much better. Quote
luckyinkentucky Posted December 29, 2007 Posted December 29, 2007 I'm just curious, but did any of you take the flu shot? The reason I ask is I never get sick in the winter time, and those that I notice getting sick around me are those who took the flu shot awhile back. Quote
Super User MALTESE FALCON Posted December 29, 2007 Super User Posted December 29, 2007 I just got home from the doctor. My ears are full of fluid, my throat is sore and my sinuses are pushing my eyes out of their sockets...........now, am I sick or just in love? Falcon Quote

I didn't get sick last year like most people did. I guess it's catching up to me. Quote
M_Fields. Posted December 29, 2007 Posted December 29, 2007 I have been sick a couple of times this fall and winter. I took the day and night time nyquil and that made me feel better. It sucks walking around the house with tissue stuck up your nose. My nose would not stop running. Now my wife make me take 2 different supplements; aged garlic one , and seasonal support. I do feel better now, and I think that those two supplements help. I had the flu mist shot a couple of months ago, that thing made me sick to. M_Fields Quote
moby bass Posted December 29, 2007 Posted December 29, 2007 I NEVER get a flu shot and I never get the flu. Drink more whiskey. It may not prevent the flu but if you drink enough, you'll never know you have it. ;D ;D ;D Quote
Super User Bassn Blvd Posted December 29, 2007 Author Super User Posted December 29, 2007 I feel like I'm Dying. Make it go away. Someone go get my MOMMY. I'm gonna suck it up and go fish from the bank for the last hour of sunshine. Quote
michbass Posted December 29, 2007 Posted December 29, 2007 Just got over a mild cold/sore throat, never really developed. I was taking extra vitamin C, and echinacea and my other normal vitamins to help. Not sure if it did. Drank a lot of hot tea too. Quote
