Super User FishTank Posted December 21, 2007 Super User Posted December 21, 2007 I saw these photos and I can't remember the last time I saw Eddie sober but they look to be in great shape except for Eddie's son. ;D http://seattlepi.nwsource.com/ae/popupV2.asp?SubID=3310&page=2>itle=Van%20Halen%20at%20Key%20Arena Quote
Fisher of Men Posted December 21, 2007 Posted December 21, 2007 Yes, Wolfgang looks as though he's "wolfed" down some serious chow growing up. I always like VH with David Lee instead of Sammy. Sammy added a new dimension with the extra guitar and different voice, but it wasn't the same. It's good to hear the Eddie's gotten clean. Quote
Big T Posted December 21, 2007 Posted December 21, 2007 I liked Van Halen back in hte 80' and early 90's. However I really can't stand the crap that the Van Halen brothers pulled. This on again off again crap with David Lee Roth and Sammy Hagar is rediculous. It also funny that the last time I saw Michael Anthony he was playing at the Cabo Wabo cantina with Hagar and Kenny Chesney. Why isn't he playing with Van Halen? Just an obersvation. Like I said I like Van Halen, I thought that they were a harder edged band with Roth but more successful with Hagar, and forget that crap with that guy from Extreme. Gary Sharon or what ever his name was. Big T. Quote
fishbear Posted December 21, 2007 Posted December 21, 2007 I love the music they make, but they are typically So. Cali. rockers. My best friend grew up in the same neighborhood as the Van Halens, had dinner at their house, even played some guitar in the garage with them... When they hit it big in the 80's, they forgot everyone from their past, including family.... That is fame for you Quote
Super User fishfordollars Posted December 21, 2007 Super User Posted December 21, 2007 You bet...Even though he's full of it... Quote
ejtaylor822 Posted December 21, 2007 Posted December 21, 2007 Huge VH fan. Have seen and enjoyed all incarnations - although VH III was the best/worst of VH - horrible album with the exception of Without You which IMHO is one of the great VH songs - awesome guitar work. Say what you will about the album though, but, Gary Cherone puts on a heckuva a show. Favorite, musically, was with Sammy. Love Sammy solo and with VH. DLR was happy with VH just being a cover band. They are too good for that. Sammy brought out the best in them. Was going to see them in Charlotte for this tour's kick off but missed them. Catching them in Raleigh on March 7. Last time I saw VH with DLR was the Diver Down tour. Last time I saw them was three years ago when the kicked off the reunion tour in Greensboro with Sammy - one of the best shows ever. Quote
