Mobydick Posted December 13, 2007 Posted December 13, 2007 Was wonderin what yall are doin in this weather were having up here around PA? Where I am, right now, it's 27 degrees, sleeting, and theres 2 inches of snow on the ground. No back roads are plowed. I was out with the buddies tearin up the trails with the four-wheelers. It is FUN! ;D I hope it keeps sleeting, and if it freezes we will have off school again. Quote
Tokyo Tony Posted December 13, 2007 Posted December 13, 2007 Yeah it's freakin coming down here in CT. We're supposed to get 5-10 inches, so I'm hoping it gets bad enough that we get out of work early. Quote
Cigarlover 1 Posted December 13, 2007 Posted December 13, 2007 I'm at work. Bills dont stop when the snows starts falling. It started at about 12:10. By 12:30 everything outside is covered. We're supposed to get about 8-10 in. I think. Quote

jeremyt Posted December 13, 2007 Posted December 13, 2007 I was at work and then went fishing during my lunch break, god its december and about 75 out today. The past three days were in the 80's. I am a little bit jealous for my kids though, they haven't seen any snow yet. Quote
Super User Tin Posted December 13, 2007 Super User Posted December 13, 2007 Love snow, time to go driftin' Quote
=Matt 5.0= Posted December 14, 2007 Posted December 14, 2007 LBH and I were out drifting in the Brown trucks today. People kept asking me why UPS was delivering.... Quote
Big T Posted December 14, 2007 Posted December 14, 2007 I went fishing yesterday but the wind made the lake rough as heck though. I went Tuesday and the lake was slick, 80 degrees out, and I got a little sunburn. I love it. I wish it would stay like this year round. Big T Quote
Low_Budget_Hooker Posted December 14, 2007 Posted December 14, 2007 8-10 of the ugly stuff. This storm hit at a very bad time and it hit hard. Traffic was a nightmare in RI, kids were still on school buses at 10:00 last night!!!! I'm serious! With that said, we almost emptied the building yesterday. Only the heaviest dispatched drivers did not clean the routes (were very few of those) and we made service on 87% of what we had on board for the day (A very high number, I would guess Fedex ran at about 70-75%) but here's the best part,...... NO ACCIDENTS!! The crew really got it done yesterday. MERRY CHRISTMAS!! Quote

They have stopped at my house just about every day this week, sometimes TWICE! My wife and her QVC Christmas shopping.............. Quote
Low_Budget_Hooker Posted December 14, 2007 Posted December 14, 2007 Bassnleo, you'll be happy to know, and this reverts back to the "tipping" thread, that I hand delivered 2 coffees to 2 Police Officers who were pulling special duty yesterday. They were re-routing traffic due to a blown water main. They were still there about 2 hrs after I first passed them, on my way to Dunkin Donuts so I grabbed 2 extra coffees and left them with the guys. The "tipping" thread got me thinking about our police and fire personel, If anyone deserves a tip.......THEY DO! They seemed to really appreciate the "warm up" Quote
