I agree.  I wonder how it would be if all teams had the same salary structure.  I DO find it funny, however that the Yanks (despite spending more $$ than anyone else) haven't been as successful of late.  You can't buy "heart".

theres alot of things wrong with baseball the spending habits of the yankees is not one of them,although i do hate the yanks i do respect the fact they will go after their guy and pay him unlike other teams .but the main pitfall for baseball is that it is to waterdowned way way to many teams

MLB needs   REVENUE SHARING: The Yanks,Sox and Braves may be the biggest draw, but they still need teams to play against. Consider this the inital Cable Contract for the Yankees/YES , the Yankess take the first year would have paid for every starting pitchers salary in the Easten Division , minus two . The Seatlle Mariners Cable deal did not even pay for their top 3 starters .
